NB: Hiding Menu-Bars in an already opened Window.

Hello NG,

Is it possible, to hide the menubars of a browser, if the window is already
opened? I want to post a html-form to a "_blank" target (new window). This
new window should have no Menubars.

Thanks for any help!

Hi, I have set up an external stylesheet, named "print.css", to format the style of all pages printed from my company's website. I've been previewing my changes to the stylesheet by doing File\Print Preview in IE6 and noticed that occasionally the leftmost button of the javascript menu (CoolMenus Version 3.02) on our website is printed. (I have wrapped the javascript that generates this menu in a DIV so that it is concealed from...

I'm doing an ASP-built Intranet app, and am having trouble with a bit of code on the menu I am using. I got it from some free site, but I tried emailing the person whose email address is in the code, but that email addy doesn't work anymore. Since it's Intranet, I put an HTML version on the web for you to look at. The links won't work, of course. Address is

I have a menu written in javascript. I include that menu on an asp page. The aspx page contains both a listbox and a datagrid. There i one drop down menu that overlaps the place where the listbox is. Whe the user hovers over the drop down menu, the listbox hides the botto options on the menu. However, the menu also overlaps the place wher the datagrid is, but the datagrid does not hide the menu - the men appears over the datagrid as...

Hi, I have a menu control in my master page. On one of my content pages I have a few div's one floats left and one to the right. my menu control on the right has a dropdown, when this displays parts get hidden under controls that I have in my content page. I'm sure the problem has something to do with the float. Is there a style I can apply

Hi all, In my recent asp.net (2.0) project, I want to give a desktop-application look and feel to my users. I think I'll do it by hiding the browser's default menu & toolbar right from the default page (i.e: default.aspx), which also serve as my login page. And it should have cross-browsers capability. Can anyone give me some examples on how to do it?

I use Application.CommandBars("Menu Bar").Enabled=FALSE to hide the standart menu in my application. Sometimes it makes the menu disappear permanently (i.e, the registry settings are changed), and sometimes it does not. It is a problem for users who want to use Access "outside" my application - they cannot see the menu and don't know how to get it back. I cannot figure out when and why the menu stays hidden. So if somebody is familiar with...

Hi there, I've got a website with a list of Frequently Asked Questions, so there's a question and answer in a long list down the page. Can anyone recommend a simple script that would allow me to hide each answer when the page loaded, but then made them individually appear/disappear when clicking the question? I'm after a solution that will degrade gracefully if a page doesn't

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
