Checking existence of windows

I'm having a hard time checking existence of windows. The only thing I found on
this is page 224 of Rhino. Why is there no function to check this? Is there
a publication on this part of the protocol I can read as a newbie? Please can
someone make a suggestion one what to read or try?

Sincerely, Xeno

You can not check for the existance of windows because the number of windows I have
open, and their URL locations, are none of your business.

You can open (or at least attempt to) your own windows and keep track of the ones
you have opened, but the rest of my browser windows are none of your concern (even
if they happen to be pointed at your Web site).

Hi all, I am allowing a user to create a directory within my application. I have them entering the name for the directory in a form. When the form is processed I initially check for any special characters that are not allowed (Windows based server incidently), from here I then need to check to see whether the folder name has already been used (either by a previous entry using the application etc, or reserved names as such ie, /images...

Is it possible to check for the existence of an element? I have a dynamic page which may or may not have a <div> holding a bunch of thumbnails, and I want a function to check for the existence of the <div>. Doing: blah = getElementById("thumbnails"); Generates an error.... I was hoping it would just return false or something... Is there a way of doing this? P.

Does anyone have any coding rules they follow when doing argument checking? When arguments fail during check, do you return from the call with an ambiguous return value, or do you throw exceptions?

I have found a lot of material on removing duplicates from a list, but I am trying to find the most efficient way to just check for the existence of duplicates in a list. Here is the best I have come up with so far: CheckList = for x in self.__XRList] FilteredList = filter((lambda x:x != 0),CheckList) if len(FilteredList) len(sets.Set(FilteredList)): return False The first statement pulls the slice out of a matrix I need to check.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
