Is there a trustworthy way to detect mouse clicks on the native
scrollbar arrow buttons (scrolluparrow and scrolldownarrow) in Mozilla?
Why?
Having a scrollable table i want to fetch more data from server and
append it as table rows if the scrolling is at the end position and i
press again on scrolldown. Without trying my intuition tells me that
onscroll isnt gonna work as there is nothing to scroll down at the end
of scrollable area.

I am using a div tag to make an element that contains some text. I
have specified overflow: auto; in my stylesheet. If I use
font-size/line-height to specify the font information I get a vertical
scrollbar in firefox/netscape (not IE) , even though the text I have
in the element does not exceed the bounds. The simple example below
casues this behaviour. How do I fix this?
<div style="overflow:auto; height:100px; width:100px;...

I apologize for posting yet another scrollbar question. Here is my
code. All I want is for a diagonal line to appear from coordinates
(0,0) to (width, height) in a usercontrol regardless of whether the
user autoscrolls the usercontrol (other things that are on the
usercontrol I want to scroll, but haven't included any here).
Here are the steps to reproduce my problem.
1. Launch Visual Studio and create a new Windows
application with...

I dragged a datagrid onto a VB.Net WinForm and used the properties page and a
few lines of code to set it up, including the DataSource. No wizard setup
was used. It works fine except for one thing: there is no vertical scrollbar
even there are more lines than can be shown on the datagrid. There is plenty
room on the right for the scrollbar but it is not there. If there is a
scrollbar property for the .Net datagrid like in the VB6 DBgrid,...

I've got a grid-managed frame, containing a column of Labels, and a
corresponding column of Entry widgets. I'd like to be able to display
dozens, or even hundreds of rows, and use a vertical scrollbar to
scroll through them in the frame. So far i can get a scrollbar to
display, but it won't scroll anything. So that's definately wrong. And
the columns just chop off at the bottom of the frame, but resizing the
window won't make the frame...

hi all
Access 2K/2003, Win XP Pro
I need to be able to detect when a subform datasheet is currently
displaying a vertical scrollbar.
I.e if the subform datasheet is showing more records than can fit the
subform window Access will make the vertical scrollbar visible.

I am toying with a javascript scrollbar for a DIV, and am trying to
make it as accessible as possible, I have succeeded on the most part,
but there is a slight problem due to the fact that it isn't a real
scrollbar, I believe the best way is to detect whether overflow is
required, then have it display the newscrollbar and hide the old one!
Anybody have any ideas on whether this is possible, was previously
trying to get style.height, but...

Hello,
I don't want a horizontal scrollbar from showing using the following code:
<input type="file" name="theFile" />
it works fine in most browsers, but when i use it in IE, a scrollbar shows when the filename i select is longer than the textbox.
is there anyway to prevent the scrollbar?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
