Hi,
I'm a beginner with c++ programming, and came across the following
code.
I have the following hierarchy of classes where both CLASS_A_PARENT and
CLASS_B_PARENT extend MAIN.
MAIN <-CLASS_A_PARENT <-CLASS_A_CHILD
<-CLASS_B_PARENT <-CLASS_B_CHILD

I have a question about how one of these methods is called. The call
theNote.Write();
uses the Write() method in the Document class, and not the Write()
from the Note class. Why is this? theNote is a Note type, isn't it? So
shouldn't it call the method from the derived class? Or does it have
something to do with the fact that the Write() method in Note uses the
new keyword?

I'm running into an Invalid Cast Exception on an ASP.NET application that runs fine in my
development environment (Win2K server running IIS 5) and a test environment (also Win2K server
running IIS 5), but fails on IIS 6 running on a Win2003 server.
The web uses Pages derived from a custom class I wrote (which itself derives from Page) to provide
some common functionality. The Page_Load handler the failing webpage starts out like this:

Hi,
I am implemeting a form in asp.net.
The form is quite large and the validation is reasonably complex, so I have
decieded to implement my own validation rather than use any custon
validators,
so I have a button on the form and the "causes validation" property is set
to true.
I have overridden the "Validate()" like so

I have a class SwatchPanel which takes Swatch as a parameter type. How can I call a static function within the Swatch class?
For example the code below fails on TSwatch.Exists. How can I get the call to work?
Exists is a method within the Swatch class NOT the SwatchPanel class.
Is this possible?
Suggestions would be very welcome.

I'm using the POST method to submit a simple form html page with yes/no
and checkbox fields to an asp response page which stores the values in
a new dim string, then uses it to build a new table using ADO. I'm
getting sometimes correct values, sometimes null values (when I know I
pass a valid default value) and other times multiple values! I know
what the values coming over are because I do a response.write to see it
before the error...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
