I'm trying to help a friend out but couldn't find an answer so thought I'd
post here.
Is it possible to access the frame window at http://www.5460.net (a chinese
site)?
We're trying to get the DIV elements from its DOM.
We were trying:
alert(document. frames.document .getElementsByT agName('DIV').l ength);
with no luck.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Jeremy, alert(document. frames.document .getElementsByT agName('DIV').l ength);
You forgot to specify which frame:
document.frames[0].document.getEl ementsByTagName ('DIV').length;
or
document.frames['thename'].document.
getElementsByTa gName('DIV').le ngth;
The rest looks fine to me. If the content of the frame is loaded from
a different server there would be some security issues.
Good luck,
Vincent

If the OP loads another domain into a frame in his frameset, he will have no
access to the content within that frame.
This seems to be what he was asking for, and it simply won't work in the browser's
default security environment.

I am working with 2 frames, Left and Right and the main code is in the
left frame, which has been attached.
Can someone please help me with this code. I am new to JavaScript and
can't figure it out.
What needs to happen is this:
On the left frame you should have a series of buttons, which when pushed
makes things happen on the right frame.

I've got a situaion where there's one frame with a load of buttons, acting
as a small control panel, with a datagrid object existing in another frame.
On clicking on one button on the top frame, I want to be able to access the
instance that is being displayed onscreen of the grid, because it contains,
among other things, a column of check boxes, who's state is lost if i
manually refresh it from the other frame via scripting.

I'm working on a game called carpet fishing...long story...anyways I am having trouble working with the fish that I've created. I need to be able to access their Fish Class method move() so I can keep the fish placement random and changing. Also I want to be able to change the timer delay randomly...but both of these have to be triggered by a listener that's listening to a timer object. I'm beyond stumped and I would greatly appreciate a nudge...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
