Hi folks,
I am currently getting/setting values in an HTML table with:
document.getEle mentById(id).ch ildNodes[0].nodeValue
where "id" is the id of the <td> tag of the cell.
This works, groovy.
However, I have a few <td> tags that could have the same ID's but in
different forms of the document.
How do I gain access to those "elements" if the ID's are ambiguous and I
know the name of the form? Also, what says the jury for non-unique ID's in
the same document?
many thanks in advance,
Abdullah 1 2937

"id = name [CS]
This attribute assigns a name to an element. This name must be
unique in a document." http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/global.html#adef-id

The jury is composed of browsers and other user agents (webtv, text
browsers, speech browsers, mobile web-aware devices, etc.) which try to
comply with W3C technical recommendations and these user agents will get
confused. Humans following strict directives of this sort would be
confused too. Maybe (assumption) W3C HTML 4.01 and DOM 1 compliant user
agents will pick the first element matching the id, stop searching and
move to the next instruction of your function.
DU many thanks in advance,
Abdullah

Hello.
I have a MS Access front-end working with PostgreSQL database.
I have successfully created saved File DSN. My paa-through queries are
referring to that file as well as linked tables.
But I don't understand what will happen when I distribute my front-end to
some other PC. How will Access know where is File DSN ?
Is there any way that I set the connection programmatically. For example,
some login form with neccessary informations ?...

I have an A97 table with a Yes/No field named
TowJob and a form bound to that table. The
TowJob control on the form is bound to the same
field. It is an option group with Yes and No bttns
valued at -1 and 0 respectively.
Unless I specifically set the table field's defaultvalue
to Null, the form comes up with an automatic value
of 0 in the control? The control has NO default
value property setting. Why is that?

Can I set the Format property in a date/time field in code?
Can I set the Input Mask in a date/time field in code?
Can I set the Format of a Yes/No field to Checkbox in code?
I am working on a remote update of tables and fields and can't find enough
information on these things.
Also, how do you index a field in code?

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem
to be having an effect? ...

Hi, two parts to my problem if someone can help address either one or
both:
1. I want to SELECT everything in the table if it matches the
criteria when the query button is pressed (this is just a
commandbutton on my form). The biggest problem I'm having is that I
can't (don't know how) populate a combobox on static items such as
"True, False, Any." The Any field, would be selected by the user to
find all records where that fields is...

I have a DataGridView bound to an MS Access table. This is a single-
user application. When the User is adding or editing a row, the User
may click on a Control elsewhere. That Control has context which I use
to programmatically set *other* r/o cell values for the currently
selected grid row. So, after that click on another control, and
stuffing the related cell values, I want to seamlessly allow the user
to resume editing/adding that row...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
