Good compression ratio but of course, as with any other Javascript
compression/decompression solution, the page becomes completely
unusuable to user agents that do not execute Javascript, including
search engine robots.

Hello, does anybody have %subj%? I would like to generate some very simple HTML (XHTML?) file from OOImpress, so that I can send it to the friend for review and not bother her with all images, layouts, and the other junk (moreover, she probably never heard about OO.o). Powerpoint of the cursed memory used to have export of outline to RTF. Is there something similar for OOImpress (certainly, I do not care about RTF, OOWriter or HTML would...

Dreamweaver 4 Hi Can anyone recommend a decent utility for compressing HTML that is safe - i.e. that *definitely* doesn't mess with the appearance in any browsers. I run a growing website whose pages are inexorably getting too "heavy".

Hi guys, In .NET, how can I convert a HTML file to TIFF efficiently? One possible way is that I can first use word automatation to load the HTML up and then print it to TIFF. Is that right? However, even if it is technically feasible, it can take long time to do the conversion, especially the HTML is complicated. Is there any other more efficient way? Thanks!

I have a website with no ssi, php, cgi...nothing. Plain old flat pages are all it serves. I need to upload a list to it - a big, plain text list in html. A 2Mb list! With gzip compress, it comes down to 91Kb, much more modem-friendly! After about 30 minutes of googling, I haven't yet found a way of serving this page up like this. I can't send headers as no php or .htaccess is allowed. Any ideas?

Is there a component that i could use to automatically compact (remove white spaces, new lines maybe, etc..) the rendered HTML pages? When writing HTML, developers like to add spaces and newlines to make the code more readable. When a single space is added to a datagrid control, and this datagrid control has renders a 1000 items, this adds 1000 useless spaces to the HTML output. Is there any way to get arround this? To have ASP .NET...

The compression part of this code works fine for me, but the decompression part of this code does not. The output file from that is the same as the compressed file. What is wrong with my code? Thanks, Jon 'compression starts here Dim src As FileStream = File.OpenRead(Fn) Dim dst As FileStream = File.Create(Ofn) Dim cmp As New DeflateStream(dst, CompressionMode.Compress)

Hello, I have a script that generates XML files which are sent to a client app on request via "new SimpleXMLElement( $sUrl, 0, true )". Both client and server run PHP 5.2 and the XML file can get as large as about 150 KB. (The client then generates an HTML page using the data in the XML file and sends it to the browser. So there are 3 parties involved: User requests HTML page - server requests XML data from other server - other server...

I just added save-to-PNG to our software and noticed that WPF generates enormous PNG files. Re-encoding them under Linux makes them 20x smaller. Is it possible to enable compression under .NET or is PNG not properly supported? -- Dr Jon D Harrop, Flying Frog Consultancy Ltd. http://www.ffconsultancy.com/?u

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
