I am writing a photo gallery and suppose 8 photos are displayed. When the
user clicks on a button under the picture, I want it to add that picture
name to a "favorites" list within the session data, but NOT leave the page
the user is on. How could I do this?
thanks

Hi, I have a nice little script that works well displaying images on
my website. It's a script where if you clik a thumbnail image a pop
up window opens that contains a larger version of the same image. What
I would like to create is a link that can be clicked on to close the
window that contains the larger image. This would make it easier for
the users to close the window. I have posted the script that I use.
Any help would be much...

I have a page called CustomerSlides.aspx which contains an iframe(with the
source Lookupage.aspx). The iframe page will look continuously in the
database to see if a value has changed: if it is true it will run a java
script dynamically to update the parent page CustomerSlides.aspx.cs.
The value in the Database is changed from another aspx page så all the
changes made in this page will be updated in CustomerSlides.aspx.

Hi
I've written an HTML page that has a link to an MPG file, to be burned
onto a "Demo CD". The MPG file is quite big - 500MB. On my computer,
it works fine - clicking the link opens up Windows Media Player, which
starts showing the video. But on another computer, the link opens up a
new browser page, and shows the video as an embedded QuickTime video.
The problem is (I think this might be QuickTime's fault) that it takes
about 5...

Hello,
I am having an issue with this java code for a pop-up.
window.open('clientsCreate.aspx',null,','_blank,height=350,width=750,menubar
=no,status=no,toolbar=no')
I need the ability to open several of the same page. For example, when the
link is clicked with this code the page opens fine, however, on subsequent
pages it opens in the last new window, not a truely new one.

A few weeks until I begin my journey towards a degree in Computer
Science at Canterbury University in New Zealand,
Anyway the course tutors are going to be teaching us JAVA wth bluej and
I was wondering if anyone here would be able to give me some tips for
young players such as myself, for learning the language.
Is this the best Newsgroup for support with JAVA?

Hi there,
I have a link on my web page. When clicked, opens up a pdf file that is
stored on my server. Every file is specific to a user's user name and I
don't want users to see each other's files.
For example:
When User1 clicks on the link, it opens up
http://mydomain.com/files/user1.pdf
and when User2 clicks on the link, it opens up
http://mydomain.com/files/user2.pdf.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
