Field Populating without page refresh

Could someone kindly point me the direction of some sample script or
tutorial that will enable me auto populate fields on a page.

By this I mean, I have a page with address fields on it, they click on a
button to bring up a popup which displays a list of addresses, when they
choose one, the popup closes and the address they have chosen is then
populated back to the page that called the popup.

Something like a quick address feature.

I hope that makes sense :)

TIA

Darren.

In some cases my users will be in the middle of typing when a refresh occurs. How do get the cursor back to the position it was in when the refresh took place? Here's how I set focus:

Hi, I have a page with a form. This form has an input field <textarea>. I use it to have my users enter text and on form submit it gets inserted into a db. Initially there is some standard text shown in the <textarea> ("please type comments here"). The user types some text, _doesn't_ do a submit, continues to work. Only when he's finished working, he does a submit. It's a time-tracking system so it also keeps track of start and endtimes....

Can I set the Format property in a date/time field in code? Can I set the Input Mask in a date/time field in code? Can I set the Format of a Yes/No field to Checkbox in code? I am working on a remote update of tables and fields and can't find enough information on these things. Also, how do you index a field in code?

I have some problems with the way I am showing the BLOB fields in the Image web controls. It does work on my localhost though sometimes I need to hit Refresh for the images to load properly. However, when I try to access the same page from another machine or when I test the code on a remote server the images just wouldn't show. The page I am talking about has 3 Image web controls. In the CodeBehind I am loading these controls by using an...

Is there a way to execute server code without doing a complete page refresh in .Net? I have an ASP page to convert that uses XMLHTTP and I'm wondering if I should continue to use it in ASPX or do something else. The XMLHTTP is used in ASP to populate drop down boxes based on user input without having to send the entire page contents back and forth to the server. Our remote users have slow connections so it really helps to keep the amount...

First issue: When using ADPs you no longer have the ability to issue a me.refresh to save the current record on a form (the me.refresh does a requery in an ADP). We usually do this before calling up another form or report that uses some of the same data. We came up with a work around that saves the current record's ID, does a

Greetings. I know not one word of Javascript and wondered if there was an easy way to pre-populating a form field in a similar manner to populating an eMail 'subject' field? - The following populates the subject field in an eMail: a href="mailto:me@anwhere.com?subject=USER ID 12345 How can I populate the first field of a form (or can I?) with the same information - i.e. the USER ID located on the HTML page calling the form?

Here you can see the script I found in google to refresh a page without hearing any click sound which is usual to hear when a link is clicked or a page is refreshed. <script type="text/javascript" > window.onload = doLoad; function doLoad() { setTimeout( "refresh()", 5*1000 );

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
