Can anyone explain how to use JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) with
php and post a sample, or any good site that has.
Thanks

Hello
I am looking for a good reference for JSON (javascript object notation) i
have to write a menu structure and I quite fancy doing this using json. The
menus will be quite dynamic and I cant think of any other way to do them.

Hello,
I noticed that the JavaScript library for JSON posted on json.org
(http://www.json.org/json.js) is modifying Object.prototype (adding a
method - toJSONString). I thought this was considered bad practice
because it can disrupt the use of for in loops on Objects.
Am I incorrect?
Thanks,

In the sample below:
testClass is derived from object.
We can cast object to testClass, no problem
We can cast testClass to object no problem
Compiler is ok with cast object to testClass but fails at runtime.
Why?

I'm using Prototype.js and would like to convert the contents of an
HTML table to JSON. Converting to an array first is fine too. Any
thoughts on this? I haven't seen anyone do anything this....

I'm writing something in JS using the latest OO and JSON
and I'm looking for a bit of guidance. I'm going to have this
large object which has many top-level properties and some
top-level functions. That part I have no problem with, I'll
define it in JSON style (my prototype is working just fine).
What I'll also have though, is some arrays...

JSON
We all know what it is.
In ECMAScript 4, there's a JSON proposal:
Object.prototype.toJSONString
String.prototype.parseJSON
The current proposal, String.prototype.parseJSON, returns an object.

Hi,
Im currently looking to move into using JSON for AJAX instead of
returning from the server a string like the following:
12345{This is a text string{true
I prefer objects because I dont need to specifiy the index key and I
can treat it exactly like an array - oSet = ...
Are objects just as quick to access/alter as arrays? I have a...
