Many times I've found myself needing to work in commando mode where I
can't have access to my regular PC and tools to edit PHP based
websites. It would be nice to do the editing in a web browser but not
be set back to doing all editing using just a basic text box.
Has anyone seen a good, open source, online editor specializing in PHP?
Ideally, the editor will be able to browse a website for files, open
them in an editor, make backup...

I would like to have an Open Source HTML editor on a Web site so the
user can create HTML based text. Google brings up too many matches when
I type in "Browser HTML editor Java Open Source" that do not match my
needs. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I'm thinking of implementing a real-time collaborative text editor in Python
using Twisted. An initial plan is to use a Twisted PB server daemon that
accepts user:password:file connections from text editor clients to make
changes to a specified file on the server, and have the text editor clients
update their local copies of the file based on local user input or input
entered from other users, relayed via the server.
Jabber compatibility...

I have just migrated a bilingual dictionary from an Access 97 database to an
XML format (1.3MB). I would like to use a GUI editor but am not sure which
one. Currently Kate is the best I've found but it is Linux only and I would
like to use something on both Linux and XP. My needs are:
1) Able to use the font I specify (as I have some unusual Unicode
characters). Kate does this, Kvim does not, neither does Kxmleditor.
2) Not a memory...

I am thinking about writing a text editor in C for unix sometime soon.
I am just doing this to learn more about C. I want to write something
like ed.c, a simple line editor. What types of data structures would be
appropriate? I am thinking about using a linked list, but I am also
wondering whether a tree would be useful. Please give me your
ideas...thanks, tilak

Hi,
I've been working on a pretty straight forward ASP.NET / SQL data
access client.
I would however like to take a peek at how other developers are
approaching similar projects, specifically regarding the data access
side of things.
Does anyone know of a relatively big (around 15,000 - 20,000 lines of

Hi Folks,
I'm sure some of you might like to hear that MoreMotion AF (a Java, XSL and Ajax based web application framework) just become open source and distributed with LGPL.
http://www.moremotion.org
MoreMotion AF includes an extra ordinary MVC implementation to eliminate the Java coding on a highest level.
Believe or not, mid or even big sized web application can be developed without Java coding.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
