Is there any function for combining an absolute and a relative URL to result in an absolute URL? Like if I have http://www.domain.com and "../images/1.jpeg" it will evaluate to http://www.domain.com/images/1.jpeg. I know WinInet for windows has a function that does this called InternetCombineUrl, I just need the same function in PHP

I currently have a list box that contains regions in the US (Northeast, Midwest, South, etc.). I am retrieving this data from my Region table(see below). Users have the ability to select a region as part of a search. The results were too broad so we had to make an Office table. Region Table RegionCd varchar(2) RefionDesc varchar(50)

Hi. I'm currently working on a project which involves the creation of a web page which reports selected data to customers from two back-end systems. I use ASP script language on IIS, the server is MS SQL 2000. Now I'm struggling with combining two tables from the different databases. I'm sure it's simple enough, but I'm a little short on...

I've spent a bit of time over the last year trying to implement RFC 3454 (Preparation of Internationalized Strings, aka 'StringPrep'). This RFC is also a dependency for RFC 3491 (Internationalized Domain Names / IDNA) which is something that I also need to support. The problem that I've been struggling with in .NET is that of Unicode Code...

Hi there, I've got a problem that I'm sure is simple to someone with more experience. I have three tables: clients, tools and projects. Two of the fields in projects are linked to clients and tools (each project has a client and a tool). I would like one field in the "projects" table to be a combination of some of the info from all three...

For example, say I want to render Å‘ (Latin small letter o with a double acute accent), but with the o in black and the double acute accent in green. Are either of the following valid? 1. <span...

I want to make a good design about combining information. Suppose you have different data types, and each may have semantically same data. I want to merge these different data types into a single data at run- time. For example, sonar sensor has two internal data (bearing and bearing_rate), and Radar has two as well (range, bearing. struct...
