Hello everyone,

Can some one please suggest me a good ‘Content Management System’? I tried googling but was unable to conclude on the BEST. Obviously its an open source cms that I’m looking for. Please find the below information,

1. Building an Application in JAVA platform
2. Using Spring Framework
3. SQL Server Database

I have found a list of cms. Its here.

I’m struggling to choose one from the list of cms found in that page.

Any suggestion would help me a lot. Thank you

I happen to know that Hippo product: it is quite good. Nobody can say that a certain cms is the 'best'. What are the criteria?

kind regards,

Jos

I would also suggest Hippo. It fits all your criteria & at the moment it's my number one.

You can try Hippo CMS online at: http://www.onehippo.com/en/products/cms/try

I've developed a new form of client-based, secure 'Web Memory' that uses the JAVA or dotNET VM to launch a 'terminate and stay resident' program fragment that maintains persistence between web pages by program reloading. Web Memory is the basis for an Open Source e-commerce front end that could reduce web congestion and simplify online shopping. If too many people use this technique, then it will not work for anyone. With all the books and code written in Java, why are there no /killer/ applications? Can you name one Java application that is a must have? I run Suse 9.0 -- I don't see a single Java application on my OS. I can't think of a Java application that I would actually want or need? The Java Community just seems like a big, huge self-congratulatory group of

Summary --------- I'm looking for a C++ IDE. If I'm going to learn something, I prefer it to be free-of-charge (preferably and open-source base), extensible (read: language independent, plug-in capable, etc), and platform independent. A broad community of support would be nice, too.

Hi Everyone, I am working on an application at my workplace that is a classical example of an applciation that would need middleware to connect various applications.. but I was looking for open source / free middleware packages, that I can use. I have done some searching over the web ( sourceforge, google ) but havent found that many open source implementations for middleware. I have an application that needs to communicate with other...

http://www.JavascriptToolbox.com/bestpractices/ I started writing this up as a guide for some people who were looking for general tips on how to do things the 'right way' with Javascript. Their code was littered with document.all and eval, for example, and I wanted to create a practical list of best practices that they could easily put to use. The above URL is version 1.0 (draft) that resulted. IMO, it is not a replacement for the FAQ,...

Hi there I know there is a lot of "open source" software written in java. But is the language itself "open source"? Is there an open source java compiler (and/or ide) (is eclipse a compiler or just an ide)? Thanks, Peter

G'day all, I have a requirement to communicate between two or more PCs over the Internet, however I have no idea how to go about this. I'm not talking about a chat programme as such, I want to have an application running 24/7 on a 'base PC' connected to the internet that can send out data (like a monitoring application). It's not designed for chatting, but sending data used by my application (this can be in the form of a binary file...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
