Hi group,
i'm looking for a Java persistence framework that is able to cope with
changes of the class source, i.e. new/changed attributes and/or
methods. Say you have an exported (persistent) instance of a old class
version and want to reload it into a newly started program that uses a
new version of the class. Is there some framework that can do the job
or do i have a strange idea of what instance persistence realy is?

Can anyone tell me if I declare a global variable in my pages code behind,
is it persisted if the page does a post back, or do I need to add the object
to the session object in order to persist it.
Is the session the best mechnism for persisiting this object
Thanks everyone

Scenario:
Heavily data driven application to be written.
Relies on huge SQL database to pull information in real time, outputs
created tables into excel and word documents for customer outputs.
Client wishes to use Java as a web based application as opposed to a vb.net
or even c#.net web based solution.
Does anyone see why they wish to use java as a web based application vs and
..net solution?
Thanks for any feedback. I would prefer...

Hi Guys,
I'm a total newbie trying to make a simple series of click buttons to load up different pages for a target frame on the low side of a page. Right now I'm still struggling with just the buttons. So far the HTML ideas I've tried have let me down so I've turned to Java and just found this script (I'll use Google as the example URL here):
<HEAD>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!-- Begin
function goToURL() { window.location =...

Or... when is a script not a script?
I have several modules for managing different aspects of our club's website,
most of which are multi-page.
Does setting such things as server.ScriptTimeout or response.buffer values
at the start of the first page persist throughout the session, or are they
"reset" with each function or sub, etc.?
TIA.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
