Jave Client and Delphi Server

Hi,

I would like to know what (if possible) is the best way for a java-coded client to communicate with a Delphi-coded server.

I am actually to create a JSP <-> JBean <->Delphi Server <-> DLL_API web-based application. Is this possible? Any suggestions on this?

You could use TCP virtual circuits or UDP datagrams. I have used both at various times to send information between Matlab and C++, C++ and Java, Java and Python, etc so no reason that Java to Delphi would not work. You have to make sure that the data types communicated are compatible, e.g. word lengths, big/little endian, etc

Actually I haven't thought of that. So you are saying that a Java servlet/bean can "talk" with a Delphi/C# Server using TCP sockets?

Can they exchange XML files? Do you know of any frameworks for this?

What do you think of using a CORBA interface?

my problem is that I am trying to find the best and simplest solution for a JSP web-based environment to "talk" with a DLL API.
