WebStart in JSP Struts Tile - no External Frame

Hi All, would appreciate some advice, Thanks in advance. I have a
Struts JSP app, and want some java functionality on the (jsp) client.
I used Java WebStart a little bit in the past, but usually the html
page would just pop up the Swing app etc, and basically the Swing App
would be the "master" from then on....what I want is for a small Struts
Tile to have some Buttons, etc, and eventually play some audio from my
server...Can I have the jnlp/webstart app just be embedded in one of
the tiles, without doing a "popup" JFrame? I don't want the JNLP/Swing
to be the main controller, I want the struts app to be the main
controller, and just get the Audio Client embedded within the jsp
struts tile to NOT pop up, just to display its stuff as if it was an
applet embedded in the tile.... Thanks!

I'm trying to use the jakarta struts client side javascript validators and the validators are working, but they are not showing the popup messages. I have the message keys defined in the ApplicationResources.properties file, the propertise file is in the right location, it is referenced from the struts-config.xml, but still no messages. For example, submitting a form that violates the required field validator, just causes it to do...

Hi, Just wondering if there were any plans (or existing projects) similar to Java webstart for Python. I think this would be a boon for python. I would love to start my new project using Python but the deployment (and long term upgrading) factor is a major itch which pyfreeze and py2exe just doesn't scratch properly. Thanks

So I haven't programmed much in Python the past couple of years and have been catching up the last few days by reading the boards. I'll be making commercial Python applications again and wanted to see what's new in the Gui department. I started using Tkinter several years ago and have a lot of stuff written in it. As a result, it's hard to switch to another interface (wxPython, PyQt, etc) with all the hours it would take to reproduce...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
