Hello,
I am trying to open a window containing an image and I would like
the image to be flush against the window -- i.e. have no padding or
border. Can I make this happen with a single call to a window.open
function? I would prefer not to create a separate HTML page. So far
all I have is the basic
var cwin = window.open('images/KJV-THANKS.gif',
'Thanks', 'width=243,height=420,');
cwin.focus();

I am attempting to open a TIFF using Image.FromFile and keep getting the
'System.OutOfMemoryException' error.
Help suggests that: "If the file does not have a valid image format or if
GDI+ does not support the pixel format of the file, this method throws an
OutOfMemoryException exception."
Is there anyway around this?

I am running into speed issues when attempting to work with larger image
files, e.g., 5 M/Pixel photos. I have been experimenting with in-memory
working images which are scaled down to a more managable size. This seems to
work well, taking a GrayScale operation from 1850 milliseconds to about 300,
but then I run into problems when I wish to save work that's been done to the
image, such as a NoiseRemoval operation. The working file has been...

I am creating a site that has an "Uploads" directory where users can upload
image files (let's say .jpgs and .gifs). When a user uploads an image, the
system creates a directory within this "Uploads" directory to place their
image in. What I would like to do is protect the ENTIRE uploads directory so
a user cannot navigate directly to http://mysite/uploads/2/img.jpg without
logging into the site first (I'm using forms authentication). I'm...

I saw an article, once, on how to package image file in the installer so
they are not accessible to the end user. I want to say hidden, but I don't
just mean the file attribute of the image file. Does anyone know of the
article I'm speaking of or a link on how to embed (another poor choice of
words) the image files in the executable?
Thanks,
John

I'm working on a web app which will display LARGE tiff image files (e.g
files 10-20+ mb). Files are hidden from users direct access. For other,
smaller image files I have used FileStream to read in a file in a single
Read and so my quesitons are:
(1) What is a practical file size limit for reading using FileStream.Read
(reading the file in a single read)...especially on a web server where I
don't think I'd want to tax memory...

I'm writing a web-app which needs some javascript (my own) to be
executed locally.
This app can load local pages or remote ones; however I have a concern
about potentially malicious code in remote files. (it would be easy to
write javascript code that would make my web-app do nasty things :-(
For remote pages, I can strip embedded <script>...</scriptas well as
<script src="..."/before displaying it in the web app. However, I am...

I have a very simple database containing one table called "tblProducts". The
fields are: ProductID, Description, Price.
I have a folder on my PC that contains image files. The image file names are
based on the associated ProductID, i.e. 2001.jpg is a picture of ProductID
2001.
I know how automate Word mailmerge using VBA in access, but I want to
include the related pictures in the merged document. So the word doc will
have a table in...

dear css experts:
I have some TIFF images of text articles. I would love to be able to
use the "Find" feature in my browser to a particular word in the text,
and to have hrefs in the document be clickable. Acrobat Acrobat can do
this for pdf documents, but I would love to stick to tiff or gif or
some other plain browser format. my OCR software gives me the exact
location of each word, so I have the raw information necessary.
now,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
