Opening Image Files Exception (TIFF)

I am attempting to open a TIFF using Image.FromFile and keep getting the
'System.OutOfMe moryException' error.

Help suggests that: "If the file does not have a valid image format or if
GDI+ does not support the pixel format of the file, this method throws an
OutOfMemoryExce ption exception."

Is there anyway around this?
