Hi, Does anybody have experience with compiling php with java support on Mac OS X? I called './configure --with-java' and then 'sudo make install'. Problem is, compiling stops with an error message, because it can't find some files necessary for java. I know that you can call configure with the option

Java JDBC defines four types of database drivers. A type 4 driver is a native protocol, fully Java-enabled driver. For Oracle, this means the driver is written to the socket based protocol supported by Oracle's TNS Listener. Oracle's type 4 driver for Java has been widely used in the Java community since it does not require an Oracle client to be installed on each workstation. A quick look at Oracle's downloads suggests they aren't...

.. Does anyone know of a smart way to do it? .. There are plenty of users that don't support java, javascript and/or AJAX's XMLHTTPRequest (people with handhelds, PDAs and ...) my app would serve them basically the same page, but without the same functionality .. I am looking for ideas from people who have dealt with these issues. ..

Hi, I am new to this newsgroup and need help in the following questions. 1. I am workin' on a GUI application. Does C# provides Layout Managers the way Java does to design GUI? I know that it can be done using the designer but I intentionally don't want to use that. The one reason is that you cannot change the code generated by the designer. The other could be that you have more free hand and control to design your GUI. 2....

Hello. I haven't used NetBeans yet and I haven't programmed much Java (I've programmed more in C++), but I have a question: Can I get a data consistancy guarantee when writing to a file from Java if I use the NetBeans IDE package without using a large DBMS? I mean, does Java standard classes or some NetBeans packages support some kind of simple transactional database / ACID support or similar? Or maybe some good third-party packages can do...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
