I am wondering if anyone out there knows about BSF; if so, please help me as
I am getting ClassDefNotFoundError exception errors thrown while trying to
use <bsf:expression> and <bsf:scriptlet> tags in any JSP page that evokes
the BSF tag library descriptor. This occurs for any JSP page in JRun.
Thanx

I've created a Windows Service in C# and an installer project for it.
I installed the service using the packaged installer project and the service
was installed correctly and it runs fine.
I've since made some changes to this service.
I then proceded to uninstall it (Add/Remove Programs) to install the new one.
However, the service still shows under Services, but the .exe is gone.
I can't install the new version of the service,...

I have noticed that when I uninstall my app it doesn't delete the Program
Files / MyApp folder if there are "new" files in it that weren't there
before. It deletes all files except the "new" ones. Is there a way to make
an uninstall so that it just completely wipes out my Program Files / MyApp
folder no matter what?

I have a vb.net deployment project. The program that gets installed can
create custom named files. I don't see any way in the deployment project
options to remove files that were not installed in the first place.
I wrote a program to accomplish that (cleanup program) but how can I get
to execute BEFORE the uninstall removes files? I can add it to custom
actions - uninstall but this only allows things after the uninstall is
through and...

Hello all,
is there a way to programatically uninstall a program via one of the Windows
Management classes or one of the Win32 classes? I'm looking for a way to
invoke the process that occurs when you click Add or Remove Programs in the
control panel. I have some applications in an install base that I not longer
have the setup.exe file (Installshield express) for. If I had that, I could
just use the command line switches to do it but alas,...

Hello,
I'm having some problems installing Visual Studio 2005.
I'll briefly explain what's the history of the problem here.
First I installed VS 2005 beta 2.
I uninstalled it later via the Windows Uninstall Tool you can download.
Then I installed Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition ENU. This was a trial
version for 180 days.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Adolph will...
