Line Graph from DataBase

I have wrote a program that lets the user choose stock data types that
they wish to analyse. Their choices are then read in from a database.
I want to know how to then graph the data using a line graph. I need
each of the different stock data types to be plotted on the one graph.
If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction i'd be very
appreciative.
Thanks

Uh, is this a standalone application, such as a Swing app or AWT app,
an applet run in a browser, or a server side servlet or JSP?

Also, how "profession al" do you want the results to be? If you want
really fancy, professional looking stuff, buy a commercial graphics
API. If you have no money, there are a couple of decent packages,
sans a few bells and whistles, at sourceforge.net . Look into JChart
and/or JFreeChart. If you want to simply plot the data yourself by
"brute force," create a java.awt.Compon ent, override its update and
paint methods, casting the Graphics to a Graphics2D, and start doing
computations and drawing lines. Put your component into any
container, and presto --- instant graph. Well, not quite; you'll have
days of programming, in all likelihood.

Cheers!

I have a line graph in Crystal Reports 8.5. There are dates along the x-axis and scores along the y-axis. I have 2 data series, so there are 2 lines graphed. My problem occurs when one of the of the data series has a NULL value in my database (SQL Server) for a particular date. Crystal Reports displays a 0.0 value for the date for that series, and also graphs a zero for that date. So I get an artificial dip in the line graph down to...

Hi, I have some problem in using SQL3 recursive queries on DB2 database system (8.1 and 8.2 UDB). I need to compute the transitive closure of a (possibly) ciclic graph using SQL3 on DB2. I MUST use pure SQL3 and I cannot use cursors, indexes and the like. The graph is represented by a set of arcs with the table "arc" having two attributes "a1" and "a2" for source and target nodes resp. The SQL3 query I'm using is the following:

This may be a stupid question, but if I don't ask I'll never know ;) Ok, here it goes.... I am writing an application that renders an image in one picturebox and a graph in another. The image is drawn by loading a jpg into a bitmap and then setting picturebox.image = mybitmap. Ive created my own class, inheriting from the picturebox and overriding the OnPaint event so I can do e.Graphics.DrawImage (this.image....). This renders...

Access 2003 I have a simple line graph with one line and I need an extra horizontal line in that graph. I want something similar to this, (without the vertical line): http://www.peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ComboCharts.html#AddLine except the value for the "height" of the horizontal line will change for each record.

I've resorted to actually drawing all of the characters of the alphabet on a graph to avoid having to drag around font files. It's mostly just uppercase characters, so it's not too bad. But I noticed that some of the line segments have to be extended one pixel longer than they should be in order for the last pixel to show up. The character cells are 6 pixels wide by 8 pixels high. An "L" is drawn with

(Frustratingly), after unsuccessfully trying to use a picturebox control to paint a line graph based on serial communications with a remote device, it seems picturebox controls just won't work for this purpose. I have read Bob Powell's helpful articles and he seems to concur that the picturebox is the wrong tool for this. I think I have seen or read every article Google could find on the subject, and while there were quite a few...

Hey, I have an application that draws a polyline with Graphics': g.drawPolyline(getXPoints(),getYPoints(),nPoints); It's drawn onto a background image and so the background image is so many pixels wide (the line I'm trying to "copy" or draw), but this drawn polyline is very thin, probably 1 pixel wide. Any way to change the thickness of a drawn line like this? Like another class? I've looked at graphics2D and I see no extra possibility...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
