To hide URL details in the address bar...

2 New Member
Hi,

I have a requirement to hide the web page being viewed by the user. i.e. the address bar should always display www.mysite.com.

I donot want to use IFrame for this.. is there anyother way to achieve this?

Thanks...

Hi,
thanks for the reply...

I guess, the URL rewrite technique at server side won't work in my case because,

I want the url in the address bar to remain the same so something has to be done at client side itself.. but am not much sure...

You can use ISAPI_Rewrite product (http://www.helicontech .com/isapi_rewrite/) to perform what you want.

Just put these lines into configuration file:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP:Host} www\.mysite\.co m
RewriteRule .+ / [NC,L]

For further information please visit ISAPI_Rewrite Support Forum.

I'd like to have a show/hide widget on my web site, kind of like "show details" / "hide details" in Google Groups. Is there a tutorial explaining how to make them? Google's is a bit complex and it's easy to get something wrong. If the browser does not support the required features, I want it to generate a completely static page with the "details" shown automatically.

Hi. I have the following question - is it possible (I assume it is, but I have no idea how to do it) to HIDE the href text which automatically shows in the status bar of IE ? I have build a templated, data-bound custom control. Using it, I am showing a list of names from the Authors table, using hypertext links with the text set to the name of the person, such as: RINGER, PAUL RINGER, JANE each of the links pointing to a Details form,...

Hi everyone, I have found and addapted a script that displays or hides a div tag based on it's current class tag, but i can't seem to get it to work. I am new to Java, and i know that everything has to be perfect in order for it to function. Would it be possible for someone to check over my script and point out any errors there may be/extra spaces etc?

Hi, I was reading effictive C++ and some other books again and they all tell you about hiding implementation details (proxy/pimpl/inheritance) but they never really explain when to use it. I am starting on a new project which is part library so I think it would be good to hide the implementation for the public classes in the library but this seems a lot of overhead to me (both when developing and runtime overhead).

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
