New interactive style sheet demo

I just wrote an interactive style sheet builder in order to help novices
understand style sheets. I would be appreciative if folks could try it out
and offer any comments.

Although it is rather limited with it's abilities at this stage, it is a
very good concept. However, I think it would be really good if a
JavaScript implementation was written for it, but backed up with the
existing server side implementation for those with JS disabled. Not
only would it save bandwidth, but it would be much faster and more
efficient. The page be made to change dynamically as the user
interacted with the form, without having to submit to see changes. It
would also be good if the stylesheet was shown in a textarea that could
be edited manually. Keep up the good work.

Colors can be incorrect, and form doesn't care, but one can't use all
correct values, as it limits the number of chars for color. (rgb() etc.
take more space.)

I don't like uppercase in CSS. It is also no good with XHTML. (so not
suitable for userstylesheet writing)

There is too little possibilities to it to be really usefull, and adding
lots of more stuff would make it hard to use.

Can't see much advantage over simple example.

Thing uses frames. And it doesn't seem to have much problems. A miracle?
Or am I overlooking something...

I think I've got something more advanced (but also in early alpha version)
and IMO my builder could help novices more, because shows advantages of css
based layout (one xhtml structure, different layouts) and allows to see some
ways of building multicolumn layout and play with it
visit www.csslayouts.net - you can build new layout by clicking 'page
elements' at the top, then type a name, click 'save' and you will get a link
to page you've generated (you can view the source then, save it and modify
what you want)

I'm still working on a complete version that will have a lot of advanced
possibilities and layout generation algorithms (including some browser
hacks)
