Picture with a caption below

I would like to make a page that has pictures alternating on the left
and right sides of the screen and a caption below each picture. So
for example, if there was a picture of a butterfly on the left side of
the screen below it would be the words, "Monarch butterfly".

After each picture (each of which is a different size) would be a few
paragraphs and a horizontal rule. I would like the first picture
(which is on the left side of the screen) to have some text to the
right of it as well, centered both horizonatally and vertically
relative to the picture. While I could (and did) do this easily with
tables I'd like to use CSS to make it easily accessable for the blind.

How should I go about this?

Here's a nice CSS-based example:

I have compiled some code, some written by me, some compiled from various sources online, and basically i've got a very simple flat file photo gallery. An upload form, to upload the photos and give them a caption, storing the caption and filename in a text file. It's a bit buggy when removing the photos and captions from the file, and also in displaying them on the delete page. you can see it in action at www.4am.com.au/gallery/upload.php...

I would like to have an image with a caption displayed below it. The size of the image will vary. The caption should not extend beyond the width of the image. How can I cause the text of the caption to wrap so that it will stay within the (varying) width of the image? Any ideas?

What is the best way to import a picture (bmp format) via VBA from a Windows file and embed it into a Bound Object Frame (and thence to an OLE Object in a table)? I found an MS knowledge base article (205635) on the subject, but it uses VB (CreateEmbed method) rather than VBA. I can't find any similar method in VBA. A couple of related questions:

This one is driving me crazy. I have a table which stores pictures in an OLE Object column, one per record with a few other text fields (caption, date, etc). This table is maintained with a form to which the fields of the table are bound. When the form opens, focus is set in the Bound Object Frame (olePhoto). At this stage of development, I am simply pasting bitmap pictures into the frame and saving them. The problem arises when I...

I have a site, http://www.onemorewebsite.com, that has a menu on the left side and a picture on the right side with a middle div for content in the middle. When I mouse over the menu, the picture changes. I've got that part to work. But I also want the text caption under the picture to change also. I can't figure this one out. I've spent days learning about innerHTML, textnodes, etc..but nothing works. Can anyone give me a clue? I'd sure...

I want to use the caption property for fields in a recordset as a condition in a loop. That is, I only want to consider those fields which have captions: For each fld in RecordsetName.Fields If fld.Properties("Caption") <"" then do something The problem is that all fields are included, even those with no caption set. I've tried IsMissing, IsEmpty and IsNull for the test but none will filter

Dear reader, I am familiar with the possibility to change the Caption of a field in a form. But is there also a possibility to change the Caption of a field in the table structure it self.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
