Hi,
Is it possible to clip a layer (height 5px, width: 780px) to the bottom
of the viewport using CSS?
regards,
Roderik

In theory, yes. Practically, IE does not support the CSS needed to do the
job. Also, 5px? What the hell can be relevant with 5px of height? That's
TEENY.

Just to detail this: check out "position:fixed ".

Like http://www.nrkn.com/bottomNav/ ?
Try it with Opera or Mozilla, won't work with IE as it doesn't support
position:fixed. You might be able to find a position:fixed workaround or
hack for IE, I haven't had the time to look properly; if you do, please let
me know, I will watch this thread.

I've tried to get CSS to give me a basic layout where I can place a
footer at the bottom of the page and the top of the page I can use for
content. I don't however want the footer to pull away from the bottom
of the viewport if the top content is small. Also, when I resize the
window I want the footer to move with the bottom of the page until I
reach the content.
Here is an example that works both in IE and Mozilla using tables. I...

I would like to position something at the bottom of the window (CSS
media screen), which is easy using "bottom: 10px" or similar --
however, this <div> should stop moving at say 500 pixel because else it
would overlay the content. Must work in at least NS7 and IE5.5/6 and
Opera 7.
Is this possible, preferably using CSS? Or do I need to table-hack my
way around this (what would be the best solution then)?
Thanks!

Hi to All,
I am new to html authoring, so sorry if my terminology is not correct or
exact.
I would like to position a footer div to the bottom of the browser window.
As I research in the web shows this could be done a containing element with
"min-height: 100%;" and an absolute positioned element (div) inside, aligned
to bottom ("position: absolute; bottom:0px")

Can someone help me out with this.
Here is what i am trying to do. I have an image of size 310x310. Initially i am displaying only 50x50 using clip property. Later using setTimeout property i am trying to get the entire image so that it looks like animation. But this doesn't happen with the code below
<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">
.img1
{
position:absolute;

Hi
When the height of the content of a webpage is less than the height of
the viewport, I would like to force the footer to the bottom of the
viewport; whereas when the height of the content of the webpage
exceeds the height of the viewport, then I would like the footer to be
at the bottom of the webpage (so not visible until you scroll down to
it).
I tried using the method described at http://tinyurl.com/2upa7l but it

I have an image with a class and the class defines a clip rectangle.
In Firefox 2 and 3, and Opera 9, I can access the rectangle with
document.defaultView.getComputedStyle().
But that doesn't seem to work in Safari for Windows 3, nor when I use
image.currentStyle.clip in IE 7.
Is there a way to do this in those browsers? Am I doing something stupid?

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
