Disappearing labels in Netscape

I've created a form and positioned the labels using CSS instead of a
table for the first time. It looks good in IE 6, Opera 7, and Mozilla
1.6 (just downloaded; all Windows), but in Netscape 6 my labels
disappear. The page is located at
http://home.hiwaay.net/~lkseitz/cvg/...er/email.shtml. The
relevent bits of CSS are in the page's head, as this is the only page
these styles are used on. The rest of the styles are in
http://home.hiwaay.net/~lkseitz/cvg/PacmanFever/pmf.css.

Any clue why my floating labels disappear in Netscape 6?

Netscape 6 has a bug which cases <label> elements which float to
disappear :)

The workarounds are:

* Wrap the <label> in something else (like a <span>) and float /that/
* Upgrade to Netscape 7.1 / the might be out soon 7.2 / Mozilla

All, I am hoping someone might be able to put me out of my misery and let me know if it is possible or not to dervie the name of an element in a form, based on its associated label, only knowing the value of the label, and working on the assumption that the <label for="???" links to the <select id="???" Below is the html that I am working from, which has been dynamically created. Unfortunately I have no control over this at all. I...

I apologize for the length of the page below, but I've tried to whittle it down as much as I can. The problem is that Netscape 6.1 on my Win 2K Pro machine is disappearing the final row of the table. Opera 7.01 and IE 5 and 5.5 are both OK with the page, and the offending line is right before the commented out alert line, but I have been unable to figure why it's happening. Thanks,

I built a form to access a query with a 2 field primary key. It should use 2 controls to find the unique record and display the other field values on the form. In the criteria section of the query, I set the 2 primary key values equal to the 2 control values on my form. When I input a value to these 2 controls the query finds the correct record, so I know my query with the criteria works. My problem is trying to get the output values...

I'm using a laptop that has an access database i designed. When I open the main form and start scrolling down the form page then scroll up again, certain field heading labels vanish. They are visible when the form is opened but when scrolling they disappear. However, when I enter data in the field respective the the "vanished" label, the label heading reappears. Then disappears when I move to the next field to enter data. It seems to only...

Hi All, I've seen many postings regarding different situations where controls disappear but have never seen a decent solution. Here is the problem. I have a form onto which I am placing some standard controls from the toolbox (mainly radio buttons and labels.) The form itself derives from a base Form which derives from System.Windows.Forms.UserControl. I do this as the base form has a

I have a datagrid populated with 6 visible read-only labels and several hidden fields. Below the datagrid, I have a table with various textboxes, dropdowns, etc. I've managed to decypher the client-side coding needed for the user to click a "select" button (HTMLButton) in column 0 of the datagrid and have the table objects auto-fill with corresponding values from the dataset row in the datagrid without making a roundtrip to the server. ...

Hi! Problem description: I designed a form in c# and placed a few controls on it (nothing fancy - labels and textboxes). Then I exited the IDE. When I opened the project next time ALL CONTORLS WERE GONE. In the .cs file all the generated code still exists (as far as I can tell). Do not know if this is relevant:

We've suddenly had all of the controls, user and otherwise disappear from their containing form in VS2005 (SP1). The form included a grid, labels, tab control and a number of instances of a user control The project compiles cleanly and the controls are all visible at runtime just not anywhere to be seen in the ide. I see MS has a fix for this a while back in VS 2003 but what about 2005? Any experiences or advice??

I have many labels that are disappearing from my form when the user resizes it, they seem to dissapear when certain width/height thresholds are exceeded. I have no code in place purposely trying to alter these controls on maximize, minimize or form resize so whatever is causing this is default behavior. The settings on the labels that are disappearing are all default settings with the exception of Font, which is set to Vernanda 8.25pt...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
