Hey Folks:
I'm probably dreaming here, but perhaps there's a way...
I just gave a presentation. It's in XHTML and uses CSS for making things
look nice. Right now there's a small navigation system on top and the
main text area. The presentation is about to be put on the web, so I'd
like to add a footer on each page with the presentation name and a link
back to the main site.

Is it possible to position a DIV so that it will always be at the
bottom of the screen without having to use absolute positioning or
using the background image workaround?
Thank you!

I'm trying to put together a site for the fist time and I just can't
figure this out...in the stylesheet I'm trying to have a background
image repeat from the bottom of the page...it's dark then smoothes out
to white. It sort of works, but on my 17inch monitor I have a huge fat
white margin running along the bottom. Why isn't the background image
flush against the bottom? Would be very grateful on some advice on
this. I've included the...

hi, there. i have a problem writing a program which can obtain ip
addresses of machines running in the same local network.
say, there are 4 machines present in the network; , , and

i have read some threads posted on this group, however, they only work
for localhost, not the entire network.

Im trying to do something which I hoped would be alot easier than it seems.
Im trying to design the layout of the page in CSS to avoid table, etc but
having problems making the bottom "fade" background actually stick to the
bottom of the page.
Try making your browser window small... then scroll down & see how ugly it
looks.
....now try resizing your browser & notice the wierd behavior.
It also reacts differently in IE & FF (Which is...

I know this PEP is rejected. However I have a problem that
would benefit from having extreme values and the sample
implementation that is given in the PEP is unsatifactory
for my purpose.
I had written my own module, which works similarly but
is somewhat extended. Here is an example of how it can
be used and how I would like to use it but get stuck.

Most suggestions on this topic recommend to use a page footer and make
it visible only on the last page. My problem is that the footer is half
of the height of a page which means the detail would show on only the
top half of each page with whitepace at the bottom of each page.
How can I get the detail to fill each page with my "half page height"
report footer at the bottom of the last page?
Any suggestions to solve this would be...

Hi to All,
I am new to html authoring, so sorry if my terminology is not correct or
exact.
I would like to position a footer div to the bottom of the browser window.
As I research in the web shows this could be done a containing element with
"min-height: 100%;" and an absolute positioned element (div) inside, aligned
to bottom ("position: absolute; bottom:0px")

Can someone please explain what code i need to add to keep a set of links at the bottom of a pop up window?
I need it in a page where people post comments. It is a pop up window, of about 500x400 where peoople post comments, and can read the previous and next ones.
I have tried aligning it to the bottom of the window, in a table using the "space" keys, and the align bottom etc. however what happens is that if someone posts some lines of...

Hi,
I want to align some text to the bottom of page.I am doing this by a
CSS class.It contains
position:absolute;
bottom:0;
this does the purpose. but when I resize my page to smaller size, the
text at the bottom overlaps my text written in the page above it.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
