Plz dont treat this as another newbie query , i did my homework but

Trying to learn PHP on Fedora core 1 (PHP 4.3,MySQL,HTTPD).Unable to

to learn a little about it. Which XHTML variant would you recommend? The w3c
HTML validator mentions XHTML 1.0 Transitional, Basic, Strict, and XHTML

My parser is http://htmlparser.sourceforge.net/
Xhtml version is 1.0 from http://nds.nokia.com/uaprof/N6600r100.xml
but nokia mobile browser cannot identify the converted file(XHTML1.0).
Is there something wrong with my procedure.

I am trying to construct a WSE 2.0 security SOAP request in VBScript on an
HTML page to send off to a webservice. I think I've almost got it but I'm
having an issue generating the nonce value for the UserName token. Is it
possilbe at all to do this from VBScript (or jscript?)? I know I will be
limited with what I can do with the SOAP message. Eg/ can't sign/encrypt it
etc.

So I have a non trivial ASP.NET 1.1 Web Application with custom controls
emitting HTML markup and good deal of static HTML in the aspx pages.
I'm wanting to make this thing fully XHTML 1.0 compliant.
My primary question is this: Can I reasonably migrate from HTML 4.0 to XHTML
