simple HomeSite question..

sorry to ask here, but HomeSite ng is not frequented very much... I
have a very simple question: on the window on the left that lists the
files.. I just switched computers at work.. HS on previous computer
had TWO tabs for lists of files, the one on my current computer only has
one.. I really need two... how do I get that 2nd tab that lists files?
(in both cases it's HS version 5..) thank you very much..

Hi folks, I have googled dilligently, but cannot seem to find a HomeSite add-on to solve my problem. I have a ton of old HTML pages on my website from 1996-98. These were written when I didn't realize how much space whitespace could actually take up (in one folder, I saved a whopping 21kb when I took out the whitespace). While HomeSite will let you find and replace double spacing, for the amount of docs that I have, it is quite a...

Hi, I use Homesite 5 and have tried making an FTP connection using the SSL option to an ssl enabled vsftpd server running on a linux box. I have wsFTP installed seperately, and this connects to the box fine so the SSL server is defnitely working, but Homesite complains of a "secure connection error". I've imported the certificate from the server into Homesites trusted list, but still doesn't work.

Hi, I did post previously on this, and was directed to the Macromedia forums. Unfortunately nobody seemed to be able help there (received no replies). Thought I'd try again here. Has anybody any experience of Homesite's SSL ftp working with any SSL enabled ftp server? I have been trying to connect to an ssl-enabled

I have a quick HomeSite question.. sorry, my news server doesn't carry HomeSite ng... I just need to know how to switch from generating special chars (called "entities" in XML) with numbers instead of their names -- need to do this b/c for XSLT/FF only numbers work.. I've been looking for a while now under "options", can't find it.. thank you very much..

hello, I am writing Javascript using Homesite but if I try to use Firefox v2 as the browser I get the error message "Firefox doesn't know how to open the address, because the protocol (c) isn't associated with any program" Any ideas on this?

I have recently installed Macromedia Homesite+ on a Vista system. I have used Homesite 4.5 in the past for all of my php editing. In Homesite+ when I edit a .php file and try to save it, I get and Error #5. Unable to save filename.php. Any suggestions? I have not changed any settings. Fresh install and this happens. Thanks in advance.

I use the following technique in all of my C++ projects; here is the example code with error checking omitted for brevity: _________________________________________________________________ /* Simple Thread Object ______________________________________________________________*/ #include <pthread.h> extern "C" void* thread_entry(void*);

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
