My site uses the fairly standard approach of trapping errors in the
Application_Error event and dealing with them there.
However, we occasionally get errors that are generated by the Framework
itself and are this not trappeable by our ASP.Net code.
A good example is if someone requests a page just as the site DLL is
being uploaded, an error such as "Cannot access file XXXXXX as it is
being used by another process" is generated.

Hi, Ive recently updated our companies site and have been looking at
the server logs and it appears a bunch of people are entering the site
at specific pages that no longer exist.
I wonder if there was a way of looking at http requests for the site
and if they are not for an existing page then sending them to
index.aspx?
I'm a bit of a ASP.NET newb, otherwise i'd dig in, but I'm worried
that everyone is gonna think our sites down by...

I can't believe this is such an impossibility...
I have an asp.net page. It accepts data through on form fields and
includes a submit button. The page loads up and you fill out some
stuff. The submit button posts the page back to the server. The
button code detects an entry error and sends the page back to the
user. This all works.
However, if the user presses the Back button at this point, we go back

I am having trouble dealing with ~(tilde) in my .Net 1.1 web application,
specially when it comes through the URL. For example, when someone requests
the following URL: www.mysite.com/~mypage.aspx, my web application will
through the following error (with custom errors turned off):
