Avoid refresh when clicking on "BACK" button

When I click on the Back button of the browser I've to reload pages. How to
avoid this ?

The code worked fine before, no need to push the refresh button of the
browser.

What browser are you using? If it's MSIE, it sometimes does rather odd
things when its cache fills up (like refusing to show source); you might
want to try clearing your cache.

I have two dropdown lists. Both have autopostback set to true. In both dropdowns, when you select an item from the list, it redirects to the Value property of the dropdown. Nothing fancy. Let's say you select 1 of the items, and are properly redirected. You press the back button. I have three servers providing two different functionalities: 1. After pressing the back button, the item you selected in the dropdown is still selected.

Hi, I've applied a SSL cert to a portion of my website, which brings the user to an https://mysite/login/Login.aspx page. After successfully logging in, the user can browse around freely in the https world. Frequently the user may hit the back button in IE and receive a "Page cannot be displayed error". This also happens sometime when going back to a page works, but then going Forward fails with the same error message.

Hi, In one of my pages, I use javascript (AJAX) to populate one mulitple select field based on user's click event on another control. I noticed that when I navigate back to this page by clicking browser's "Back" button, the changes made to the multiple select is not preserved. (It shows the initial value). While all the other user selections are preserved. Firefox seems fine. How do I workaround this issue for IE?

I know this is an old one, considering how many posts I found on it but I just wondered if any best practises had popped up recently, especially as Ajax has increased JavaScript and DHTML's importance. I'm writing a database application. I like pop-up boxes so I've implemented one on my webpage using a floating DIV. The logic goes like this: 1. When the page is rendered (on the server), it adds "var DisplayPopup = false;" in the page...

Hi, how can I get to know when user clicks browser back button? I want my own javascript code to be executed when this happens. Also, is there a way that whenever any link in the page is clicked, my code executes. I can't add eventhandler to every link. Can it be done at once? Thanks for your time Jeet Singh

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
