display image in table cell with 100% height of cell

Hello,

i have a table with two rows:

<TABLE>
<TR>
<TD ROWSPAN="2">
<IMG SRC="pics/image.jpg" width="575" height="???">
</TD>
</TR>
<TR>
<TD>
headline
</TD>
<TD>
here is the content.
</TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>

The heigth of the content cell plus the height of the headline cell can be
larger than the height of the image shown left -- the content comes from a
database. For this reason, I want to stretch the height of the image, so
that it displays with the same height as the text. The width of the image
must stay unchanged.

The three questionmarks above mark the position where i don't know waht to
put in.

Any help appreciated
Martin

This is a small table with hover on the table cells. The first cell is setup to switch from div element to input element by use of display:block/none. In IE, onclick the input element is displayed correctly but it disappears if another hover is triggered. Any thoughts? Thanks,Jonny <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN">

Hello, I've a problem displaying a header content in Internet Explorer. You can view the problem on www.robert-blasius.de The upperimage should be on the left of the middle "line" and the lower image should appear on the right. It works fine in Firefox, but not in IE 6.0. This is the css-code: div.titletable {

I want to stretch the image so that it fills the entire cell width and height. How do I do that? <TD background="bg.gif" width="100%" height="100%" style="background-repeat: no-repeat;"> So far I have done that but it doesn't seem to work. I think the height and width get applied to the cell instead of the image. Is there a way around this?

I've got this to finally work in IE (its only taken me 2 days solid), but now mozilla isn't displaying the text on the same line as the image. All the images are loaded in the same cell, different buttons call the images... Everything works fine in IE and in FF but... In FF, the first time certain image is loaded, it is not resized, only from the second click it works...

Hi. I'm setting up a small photo-album-type thing, where I use PHP to set up a list of images for visitors to click through. That's all simple enough. However, I'm having a weird bug in IE8. Because the images can all be of different sizes (nothing I can do about that... outside my control), I use a CSS trick to get them all centered both vertically and horizontally, and scaled down to a proper size. Basically, I put the image tag...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
