I have written a javascript routine that populates a parent document
with a series of <iframe>s. Each <iframe> receives its contents from a
series of separate smaller HTML files. Of course my NN 4.8 browser
doesn't deal well with the <iframe> so I wrapped the code that generates
the <iframe> in <ilayer> tags. NN now recognizes the contents.
However within each of the 'content' files I have another javascript
routine that basically...

Has anybody heard or figured out a way to make a DIV with overflow: scroll
to look the same in IE and Firefox
in IE i have one table splitted in two, the bottom part is the scrolling
(Set to a height of 100%), it displays properly..
But firefox hardly produce the scrollbars on that division, and instead
makes the whole page to scroll. I know there is some incompatibility between
the two browsers as far as following the CSS standards,...

My web site is not particularly theme-based, but it contains an Art Gallery
I'd like to display in a different perspective. I would like to horizontally
scroll it, rather than vertically - as if the viewer is virtually "walking"
through the gallery. I'm just attempting this to have this part of the page
be different.
Is horizontal scrolling okay, or will it throw our browsers into chaos and
viewers into insanity? If horizontal scrolling...

I guess one question at a time will work better.
URL http://aljones.us (yes, I'm back again)
I'd like to cause this whole page to fill the viewable window if I can.
Meaning that I'd like the entire page to be visible on the current users
screen.
That means that I'd like one or both of the divs to scroll. I've found how
to do that, I think, but can't seem to 'size' the page so it fits on

Hello all.
Is there a way to know if my datagrid is wider than my div layer? This
is hard since the width on datagrid = 100% so it will not scroll,
leaving the scrolling to the div layer. The problem is when I set the
height of the div layer so it will not scroll vertically (based on the
height of the datagrid) if it scrolls horizontally I would need to add
some height to the div so I can see the pager in full. Was that
confusing? :)...

In my asp.net 1 program, I have a business layer, which lays out all my
business rules, and of course communicates with the data layer, which
accesses a sql database and returns data. No problems.
My program, however, is quite slow, and am wondering about instantiating the
datalayer class from the business layer. Currently, in the business layer
New subroutine, I declare the datalayer class and set it (Dim dl as
MyDataLayer, dl = New...

I have some log data maintained in a DB that I would like to display on a web page. Some rows of the
DB table are wider than the web page therefore horizontal scrolling will be required to view the
data.
I cannot use a ListBox web control since it does not support horizontal scrolling. In ASP.Net 2.0,
what type of web control can I use to allow horizon scrolling of rows larger than the web page?
PS, some article on the web indicates...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
