Hello folks,
Is it possible to position an item within a <td> element? For
instance see below. The table has multiple rows, one for each
database record. Each row has 3 hrefs associated with it (for
edit, delete and update). I want to position these 3 href items
in the same columns, which would be posible if the span could be
positioned - for instance on the extreme right of the td in
which it is contained.

I'm not a JavaScript programmer...but I'm trying to put together a simple
menu system for a new website and need a little help.
I have the following script:
<SCRIPT language=javascript>
<!-- Hide JavaScript from Java-Impaired Browsers
function NavRollOver(oTd) {if (!oTd.contains(event.fromElement))
{oTd.bgColor="#CC0000";}}
function NavRollOut(oTd) {if (!oTd.contains(event.toElement))

so i have a <ul> and I allow the user to append items to it. The
problem is that on mozilla the <span class="line"> which is just a line
to divide the sections
gets overlaped and doesnt move down and adjust to the newly added items
like it does in iE. It just occured to me that i dont really have to
use a span, and a html <hr> tag could do the trick -I will go try. But
aside from that could some one explain why this occurs? And will I get...

Hi,
can't figure this one out, what's the CSS way to specify the language?
In HTML it would be simply an lang="xx" attribute, or XHTML
xml:lang="xx", but, how about in CSS? This would be required for a
screen reader (text to speech) for accessibility, to help the reader
software use the correct presentation method (e.g. correct language
module).

Hi, i am stuck using older ASP and have to dinamically fill a
converted-word file as a form.
Let´s suppose a row on a table has the name of someone like in a
declaration:
<span>Some random guy</span>, currently employed at ...
The problem is that the location of the next part of the line
("currently employed") varies on the length of the text inside the
span.

First, I'm glad to find a newsgroup that still uses a FAQ:
http://www.htmlhelp.com/faq
The challenge:
These checkboxes (inside a table data TD tag) came out too squeezed
together (vertically) so I tried to double-space them with the CSS
"line-height" parameter. That did not work (at least for the IE
browser), so I put an extra break (BR) tag inside the TD and it works
great, but now it's a little TOO spacey.

I have a <tdthat contains several elements, some of which are
left-aligned, right-aligned, or centered. I do not know the widths of these
elements beforehand, so I cannot give my <tda fixed width. I want the <td>
to have as small a width as possible without causing anything to wrap, but
IE seems to want to make it bigger. Does anybody know of a good way to
prevent a <tdfrom being stretched to a larger width than necessary?
Thanks.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
