Hi!
I'm used to have Mozilla for testing my PHP sites when I'm coding. The
site's nearly finished, now I've made a test with the Internet
Exlporer... guess what... failed.
The problem: I'm using a form that submit's (POST) its data via three
different image buttons (depending on which button you click,
something different should happen):

Hi,
I have an HTML form which enters data in an Access database using ASP. But
now my client asked me if it is possible to alert users, when they click a
link other then submit on the page, that there is unsaved data and if they
want to save. If so the page must redirect to the ASP page that writes the
data and then go to the page that they click and if not the page should be
redirected to the link they clicked.
I tried using the...

I have been researching the "disabled" property for form data and
wanted to know:
- Does the disabled property supress the form item from being submitted?
- Can the disabled property be applied when the submit button is
pressed?
I am designing a PayPal order page that will have 4 items, each with a
3-character text box where the customer will enter quantity. The
default value will be "0." I want to be able to test whether the

Hi,
There is a button on one of my www pages which changes page content. It
adds some fields to the form, which is created by php script. After
changing the page is displayed once again. What I want to do is to save
form data so after changing and reloading the page field are filled.
That button is not Submit button. Can I do such thing?

Is there a way to create a form in a local html file where the
contents of the form are written to a local file when a 'save' button
is selected?
It would be nice if it was as easy as changing "somesite.com" to
"file:///C:/whatever" and "post" to "save"... in the following form:
<form action = "somesite.com" method="post">
<p<textarea name="Text" rows="20" cols="80"</textarea>
<input value="Send" type="submit"><input type="reset"</p>...

Hi
I have a problem with saving form data to a MS Access database. I am using Windows XP, FrontPage 2003, Access 2003, IIS 5.1 and FrontPage Server Extensions.
I have followed several tutorials I found online, created a simple form and changed its properties so that when the data is submitted it is saved into the database. When I click on the submit button , I get a confirmation page but nothing is written in the database. I have tried...

Hi I'm trying to make a form that makes it optional for the user to
save the inputted data. If the user does not tap the save button
before leaving the form, the data is silently discarded.
This may seem like a strange request but it's a search form I'm
working on and I'd like the option to save common searches, so I've
set up a table to store saved searches.
Thanks for any help!

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
