Hello,
First of all, sorry for all the code. I don't know how to explain my
problem without it.
I have a javascript function which can build a webpage dynamically. A
striped down version of the function
looks like this:

Hello,
htmlArea3 is a great script for those who want a free javascript WYSIWYG
editor. The only problem is that it only works in Mozilla 1.3+ & IE 5.5+.
I'd like to find some piece of javascript to not invoke the WYSYWYG if a
browser that supports it isn't being used. To do that I need to know some
very specific stuff about the browser, and the different browsers haven't
made this very easy.

Does the Mozilla browser even support CSS?
Very few of my stylesheet formats work in Mozilla.
Is there a local stylesheet that is overriding my stylesheet?
If so, is there an option to turn off the local stylesheet?
Also, I would treat Mozilla like Netscape 4.x in my PHP code; however, I
can't see in the user agent (shown below) any way to
determine that the browser is Mozilla. I've seen other browser
user agents with "Gecko" in them...

I currently have IE6 and Firefox installed on my machine, and I switch
between the two when testing web sites I am working on. It is my
understanding that IE5 is still pretty common. Is this correct? Should
I be testing my web site with IE5 as well? If so, does anyone know
where I might be able to download a copy? Is it possible to install IE5
on a machine with IE6?
I know that there are many browsers out there, and that each has...

This problem is driving me nuts. The code at the end of this post
below works fine with IE, but fails with Mozilla. You can see it
in action at
http://tinyurl.com/2jvo3
With Mozilla 1.4 and 1.6, the function msg works fine if it's
installed as an onclick handler for the button, but fails as an
onload handler for the page. The error is "console has no properties",
and is triggered by the line.

For whatever reason, when an ASP.Net control sees that the browser is
Mozilla based, it returns HTML code that contains things like <font />
tags while returning style attributes for IE. I am testing against the
latest Firefox browser and not the old stinky Netscape 4. Is there a
way to tell the ASP.Net server to treat Mozilla as a new browser?

So I'm half way through overseeing a large project in ASP.NET 2.0. My
superiors have decided that it would be nice if we ensured the site worked
on all the major platforms (as they see it: IE, FireFox, and Safari). We've
made heavy usage of the new MENU control and other intrinsic 2.0
controls.... nothing fancy! just using ASP.NET's built-in controls and very
nice, pervasive, and clean usage of CSS.
Now I find after more testing that the...

Just considering my first ajax enabled site....
I notice that Ajax is 'compatible with most modern browsers'. What do you
more experienced ajax users do when it comes to older browser compatiblity?
i.e. don't worry about it / warn the user / code for older browsers also;
Thanks,
JJ

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
