The code below resides in /home/doug/public_html
Apache is configured to allow user home drives and I can successfully
load html.
If I'm running Konqueror and launch the code below, the 'submit' button
launches the php file and returns the expected data.

All,
Is there any way to access a separate IE 6.0 browser process via the
Javascript DOM ? For example, open IE once. Open IE again (not using
File->New). Can the second IE browser/process access the DOM objects
of the first, if so, can someone please post a bit of sample code?

JS noob. I've seen plenty of browser detection scripts but they all seem to
be slightly different and don't really fit my needs. I have various places
where if the browser is IE I'd like to display else
. For example, if a browser is IE I want to use this CSS file
otherwise use a different one and if it's IE make this cell x pixels high
else make it y pixels high. I'm sure this is easy, please excuse my
stupidity.

Is there any way to create and open a window in javascript so that links in
other websites won't "steal" it?
I've written a web page with a form for people to enter headlines and URLs
from newspapers. They will want my window to stay there as they surf through
various online newspapers. We don't want their popup links to take over my
form window!
This is a real problem - it renders my web page useless and wastes peoples
time.

understanding that IE5 is still pretty common. Is this correct? Should

My JavaScripting is at novice level - and after completing a tutorial on a 'floating layer' I was proud that I got it working on Firefox, Safari, Camino & even IE5 for mac!!! But not IE7!
The 'floating layer' does not float in IE7... it just sits up at the top of the screen - stuck in one place!! Explorer - why do you mock us?!!! ;(

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
