I know there's a PIL mailing list but I thought I would try the
question here as well.
I'm using PIL on Python 1.5.2 (stop laughing, it's what the ISP has
for CGI and I don't have a choice)
Anyway. I have a basic image and I need to overlay an image on top of
it and let some of the basic image show through. Just as an aside the
images are not of the same size and the top image needs to be pasted

believe I followed all the instructions but when I click on the link
no window opens just the default IE page cannot display. Here is
exactly what I entered in the link dialog:
<a

Is this my problem? Please help.

Hi
I'm having a problem applying return false to a div via
addEventListener.
I'm adding this so that I can drag (click-hold-move) over an image.
(Its so that I can add zooming to the image)
Adding onmousemove="return false" onmousedown="return false" allows
this to happen but I want to add events with
addEventListener/attachEvent instead.
It works in IE6 but not firefox1.0.6

Why does SVG need a different tag than other images?
IMHO, SVG should be implemented as an image type just like any other image
type, allowing it to work with <img> tags, and ... here is the important
part ... also work with backgrounds in other tags.
I fail to see any wisdom in making SVG different than say PNG (of course
the implementation of the rendering code would obvious be different).

I am using foldoutmenu 3 and am having problems with viewing my menus
in firefox. On my sub3 menus i have more than one line of text in some
places. firefox does not recognise that there is more than one line
and the text simply overlaps the sub-menus below it. I thought i had
got around this by placing empty 'spacers' like so;
oFoldMenu.make('sub3','')//spacer
unfortunately, i have just viewed the site in IExplorer and it has

Hi everyone,
I'm currently having a rendering problem in IE7 (haven't even tried the lower IEs yet), vs. what I see in FF2. The simplified site can be found at solerasd.com . (There are more image elements that belong in the list but I've only posted 2 since it replicates the problem and minimizes the code to read. In FF, you should see a logo with two images (currently not HREF's) of the same size below it, and a copyright statement below...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
