I have a page with images that the user can drag from one frame to
another. I need them to see a "ghost image" of the image they are
dragging, while the original stays put. I use the onmousemove event
to keep the ghost image under the mouse pointer. There are three
problems:
(1) if the ghost image is dragged so it is partially off the edge of
the screen, scrollbars appear. This not only looks bad, it can cause
the page to autoscroll...

Hi,
I've been trying to create a image mouseOver effect using CSS - is
this possible? Or will I have to use DIV tags or something along
those lines?
I've tried a number of things - the code below will work for the
border no problem, but I can't seem to get the SRC to work - is this
not an option in CSS?

I'd like to serve an image-not-found image for images... that aren't
found..
I'm already using a custom 404 handler page.. but this question could
apply to images retrieved from a database or script or whatever...
Anyhow, is the 1st method OK, or should #2 be used?
ie, does the client/bot or whatever recognize the 404 on method 1?
Or, does it think everything is dandy because of the redirect.
header('HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found');

Hi all,
I was trying to make an image submit button with a rollover and discovered
to my suprise that there is no way to access a form element of the "image"
type. I tried specifying it by name and also by the elements array with
no luck.
Even weirder, I can sandwich an image button in between other input types
and then write a script diplaying the contents of the elements array and it
acts as if the image button does not exist at all!...

I'm using a fading image script that I found via Google Groups on this
newsgroup, and am having some difficulty with it. First, here's a link
to the Google Groups posting:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript/msg/3f287a2f20de1b10
I've modified the page linked to in the above URL by making one of the
images an input element whose type is an image and am now encountering
flickering problems. Here's the webpage:

Hi
I'm making a kind of JavaScript-based library for creating SVG
objects/elements. And I hit the wall...
Every element (rect, circle etc.) can be created using
*.createElement, then *.setAttribute and *.appendChild. Except "image"
element. When 'image' element is created like this, it doesn't display
anything. When I create that element with the same attributes in SVG
code itself, it works perfectly. It works even if I create it with

I'm wondering if I can pass variables to "TestForm.aspx" with the way
I'm using it. It's acting as a jpeg image and looks like:
<%@ Page ContentType="image/Jpeg" %>
<%@ Import namespace="System.Drawing" %>
<%@ Import namespace="System.Drawing.Imaging" %>
<Script Runat="Server">
Sub Page_Load
Dim objBitmap As Bitmap
Dim objGraphics As Graphics

Currently using the "document.images" to "preload" images - not for
future pages, but for the page being loaded. I got it from
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/imagetooltip.htm
Its a nice script - pops up an img on mouseover.
I understand that its downloading SOMETHING - but its not rendering....
THE QUESTION: How does "preloading" these images (into cache, as I have
read) affect page size, page load, etc. I cannot find...

Embedded javascript can be served from a DLL with an include that uses a
special URL generated by the Page.ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl method at
runtime. For example:
<script
src="/DEV-WEB/WebResource.axd?d=Fzr7sc4IZAELIE4FCpgaNkpd1YgQqgig1EfiFj9_b7U1&t=633202779231250800"type="text/javascript"></script>
.... so can style sheets:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
