Hello,
I am coding a web application to be used on an internal Intranet.
I have already coded a menubar for the application using DHTML.
I want to get rid of the standard menubar in Mozilla to:
a) Stop people getting confused with 2 menubars
b) Free up a bit of more screen space

Hi,
I am looking for a way to start a trusted Linux application (a C executable)
on my local machine, upon clicking a link. Basically the equivalent of
the ActiveXObject in IE. Thank you.

This isn't a javascript question ...
On the other hand, there are a lot of people on this newsgroup who seem
to know a lot about building nice user interfaces.
Anyway, I'd like to add chrome to my tables ...
Something like the silver that appears at

I have this
<DIV id="canopy" onClick="myhandler(event.x,event.y); return false;">
<IMG border=0 height=66 width=292 src="gifs/top.gif">
</DIV>
which works in IE. myhandler gets called with the coordinates of where
the mouse was clicked relative to the <HTML>, and I know where my DIV
is, so I can calculate which part of the image was clicked on.
But with Mozilla, I can't use event.x and event.y, only event.screenX
and event.screenY. ...

I am trying to create a simple custom web spider using mozilla and
javascript, the basic functionality is to open a website and then
manipulate it using DOM (possibly opening links etc.).
it seems like pretty easy task to do, the only pr0oblem is that I
can't figure out how to wait for the website to load - I use mozilla
security settings to be able to open the window and mainpulate it:
var w = window.open("http://google.com", "google...

SRWare's new Iron browser is based on Chrome's source code but,
unlike Chrome, Iron does not create unique user IDs, nor does it
send URIs to Google for generating search hints or tell Google
when it is installed. The Chrome clone should be just as fast
as Chrome -- perhaps slightly faster without the overhead of
sending info on your browsing habits to Google.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
