My issue is that I have created a webpage using a template, but the header image doesn't show in firefox. It appears correctly when using IE.

Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.... I am kinda new to this...

The only image I see is in your CSS and it's pointed to an image on your computer, not on the server.

Thanks - I'll have a look at that, but still don't know why it is OK for IE? Just one of those things??

I've got a couple of errors on my site that I'm not sure how to fix. I'm using simple CSS for both text rollovers and my horizontal navbar, and here's what happens. First, the site: www.sunbadgeco.com/sunmetal/index.htm #1 { In IE6, rolling over an image in the navbar makes it "light" up. Clicking on the image takes you to another page (which is not finished). Then clicking the Back button keeps the image you just clicked on "lit" up,...

I have a span containing two words. Eg. <span>Avant Garde</span> Using CSS, I pad the text to the right and assign a background-image. Eg. span { padding: 0 3px 0 11px; background: url(images/tagbull.gif) no-repeat 0px 2px; }

Does anyone know why the header looks correct in IE 6.0 and not Firefox 1.07? I am trying to have a header that looks good when you expand it wider and smaller. In other words when you shrink the window narrower than the main header image it does not wrap, and when you expand the window wider than the main banner image the corner and background image expand to the size. It has one large image about 500 pix wide, a right corner that is...

I'm working with one of those vertical menus that use CSS and lists. The menu is contained with a DIV (DIV.1) with a height of 100% that's within an absolutely positioned DIV (DIV.2). DIV.1 has a background image at "left bottom". If I set a fixed height for the DIV.2 the image appears correctly but if, as I need to do, calculate/set the height of the DIV.2 on window load then the image doesn't appear till one of the menu items are...

The first method I ever used for multiple state buttons was to create a graphic for each button for each state: AboutUs_on, AbooutUs_over, AboutUs_out, etc. That works great when there are just a few buttons. I'm creating interfaces now with many more buttons than "just a few". I solved the maintenance problem by having generic button images, one for each state, and having them be background images for text containers, DIVs in this...

I've studied Eric Meyer's pure css popups, version two: http://meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/popups/demo2.html which pops up an image when I roll over a text link. Now I want to pop up a large image when I roll over a thumbnail. I've tried some things, but can't make it work. See here (Warning: adult matter):

Hello all. Please try this link for me and let me know what you see: http://www.neave.com/temp/stretch_test.html You should see a green header filling the top of the page, a red footer at the very bottom of the page and a white Flash movie filling the gap in between. You'll need at least Flash Player 7, otherwise it will just show black. It shouldn't scroll, it should act like a framed page but

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
