hi
I was wondering if anyone can help me out on this....
I have dynamcally populated a drop down menu with data from an access
database using ASP. The values seem fine, however when i pass them to
the next page (using form get method) the whitespaces in the values
are ignored. For example with <option value=jim jones> then only "jim"
gets passed to the next page not "jim jones". I have viewed the source
created on the dynamic page and...

I have a registration form for classes. Each class has a fee. I have a

the associated fee. I would like to auto populate the fee textbox depending
on what class the user chooses. In the email, the value of the drop down
box has to be the name of the class and the value of the fee text box has to

I have two problems that I suspect will be bread-and-butter problems for the
more experienced guys on here, but I'm not the greatest with js.
NB: Code snippets at the bottom
The first problem is that after a bit of fiddling I'm getting am 'Object
Expected' error when I click on the Depot dropdown which I can't seem to get
round. The code I had was working OK but then I cut it all out, tidied it
all up, and put it back in and now it...

When I dynamically populate a HtmlSelect combo box, the Value property
consistently fails to return the item selected, defaulting instead to
the first item in the list. For example:
Protected WithEvents Fruits As System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlSelect
Protected WithEvents Results As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label
Protected WithEvents Button1 As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button
…
Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal...

I'm not sure the best way to accomplish this... my hunch is with
javascript, but I'm not sure if using server side code (PHP) would be
easier.
I'm adding people to a database. People have a first name, last name,
and a undetermined number of Cities and States with which they can be
associated. I've got a drop down box that I would like to use to
display the number of inputs to allow for city/state entry. I would
like to dynamically...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
