image slideshow working with MSACCESS

i currently use a SQL statement on my website to display a group of
images (more specifically their location on the server) and links from
the access database. only images that meet certain criteria are
displayed in a table with the logo in one column and corresponding
text link in the other column.

the goal i have is to do away with this and instead of a very large,
to make an image slideshow that scrolls through all the logos. i know
i can hardcode this (each logo and link) using javascript but because
the images are constantly changing based on the criteria on the access
database, id rather find a way to make a slideshow using a sql
statement.

the images when clicked would go to the web address of that logo.

any ideas how this can be done? can somebody point me in the right
direction.

thanks,
gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

It is not completely clear to me what your problem is.
Your setup makes sense, but:
Do you need help with SQL?
Do you need help with getting the results of your query into the HTML?
Or do you need help with JavaScript to read the values and make the
actual images/hyperlink replacements?

Hello, I hope you can help - I'm a bit new to PHP. My basic problem is with a page (HTML) which is intended to display an image slideshow. On this page there are a number of links to click (one for each slideshow topic) and a "TV screen" to view the results. The images are stored on the server as (big) JPG files - and when they are downloaded for the slideshow, I resize them with a PHP script

Hope someone in the big wide world can help... What I want to do is have an image slideshow which automatically scrolls through a series of images very fast, then pauses when you move your mouse over the image. The images will flick through (at a rate of about 5 per second) then pause when the user onMouseOver's. Any help would be gratefully received. :o)

Hi, The code below comes directly from http://www.dynamicdrive.com. It does exactly half of what I'd like it to do. The other half is this: I'd like the image block of the changing images to move up and down, as the user scrolls up and down on the page. Can any of you folks suggest how I would envelope the following code

Hi everyone, I am working on a module for my GUI that shows one image with an index value below and would use a scrollbar to control which of the images are displayed. The images are stored in a successive folder in the format Pic#, i,e. Pic1, Pic2 etc. What I want to do is make a slider that is attached to a label which would output the slide number that is being looked at. I would use that number then to return the image of the slide...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
