Here's the scoop:
Does anyone remember the UNIX utility "pretty" for formatting C code?
What I'm looking for is a utility that will do two things:
1) Format the HTML code itself to make it more readable (indentation, line
breaks, etc.)
2) Optimize HTML to remove empty and redundant tags
Reason: Have you ever seen what kind of a mess you get when you paste WORD

Hi,
I'm experiencing a wierd problem with IE 6 in Windows with two
_slightly_ different Version.
Give the following HTMl-Code, ideally the output of offsetTop should be
"105"; a few pixel plus minus would still be ok, whyever.
I've tested this successfully on 6.0.2800.1106 on a german W2KPro
machine, also with 6.0.2800.1106 on a german XPPro machine.

I'm working for a company in Houston developing a web application. At one
point in the code, we have to refresh the page, but save what checkboxes have
been selected. Since these checkboxes are created programmatically according
to configuration files, they cannot be asp checkboxes.
To do this, before refreshing I save which checkboxes are selected to an asp
textbox and perform a postback. Later in the .aspx file, I have a <% %>
block...

This is very strange: I have a Windows Form with a Panel on it. In that
panel I dynamically (at run time) create some labels, as so:
for i=1 to x
dim ctlNew as New Label()
with ctlNew
.Name="Whatever" & trim(cstr(i))
.Text=.Name
.Visible=True
... etc etc etc ...

I was attempting to set up my psql client on the Win32 version of
postgres 8.0 beta 2 to be able to use an external editor. I set the
environment variable in windows like so:
PSQL_EDITOR="c:\progra~1\Textpa~1\Textpad.exe"
which does appear to work correctly. However, I get the following
when attempting to edit the query buffer:

IN VS.NET 2005, I have a form with over 20,000 lines of code. Frequently,
both during debug or non-debug code editing, VS.NET freezes for up to 30 or
60 seconds to collect its thoughts. I think others may be experiencing this
problem if they are editing a class with a large amount of code. Here is how
I learned to deal with it.
I open the Windows Task Manager and set it to the Processes Tab and Sort by
CPU. I then highlight...

We are experiencing some wierd debugging behavior. What happens is
that, during debugging with VS 2003, the debugger seems to 'skip'
statements that are associated with database operations. For instance,
I can be single-stepping through a VB.NET program, and once I hit a DB
related statement (such as setting command parameters, executing a data
reader, etc) the debugger will simply 'skip' ahead a number of
statements (if not all the way to...

My development computer (1 gig, XP Home Edition SP2) freezes when I am
editing a very large VB.NET project. It can take minutes to move between a
code pane and the Find and Replace pane. On occasion, it freezes for one or
more hours no matter what I do. I would go back to an earlier version of VS
but I have already invested too much time incorporating features that only
exist in VS 2005.
I have installed the HotFix but it did not do...

Found an interesting one today. I've been editing some code in the
office and one of my editors, either Coda, SubEthaEdit, Scite or Geany
added an interesting character into my PHP source file.
Initially I thought it was a bug somewhere in my code. But I didn't
know about this hidden character until I viewed it as a phps file.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
