I would be grateful for recommendations for a CSS layout (header, 2 cols,
footer) that can accomodate dynamically added elements. I am not having any
luck so far getting this to work in Mozilla/Firefox. Success so far only
with IE. In Mozilla/Firefox, the layout does not adjust when nodes are
inserted into the document dynamically.
Layout:
H E A D E R
COL1 COL2

In the web site http://greywolfdesign.com , there is a pop-up menu (when
mouse over 'Portfolio' menu item), it always works well when using IE (6).
However, when using Mozilla 1.6, the popup works well for all the pages
except the 4 pages which can be opened by click the menu link in the
popup. In these four pages, the popup will always be shown at the
leftmost of its parent div (flow) instead of under the 'Portfolio' menu
item.
When...

Because dynamic pages do not get indexed well in search engines, is
there a decent API out there to parse through the site and write pages
as plain html automatically? I noticed some WordPress and Blogger
writers have their posts served up as plain html.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

There must be millions of dynamically generated
html pages out there now, built by on-the-fly php code
(and jsp, perl cgi, asp, etc).
Programatic page generation is transparently useful.
But querying a database, negotiatinig lots of if-then-else logic
and echo'ing html code out on port 80 every time a
page is requested has to be a huge waste of resources.
Why not use that logic to print static html instead of dynamic?

Does anyone know why i can't access a form element value using dot
notation in firefox, when i'm in a function. Works ok in the body.
I'm trying to do this:
var FarTemp = faren.temp.value;
I can get at the value using the array method, the getelements by id
method, and the bracket-with-the-element-name in it method. But the
dot notation doesn't work, in firefox, in the function (which i have
in the head).

I am using some javascript/ajax to load content into a main div. The problem I am running into is that it will work in IE but not in FF. In FF I don't get any sort of load at all. I have a 1 column 2 row setup in css. The links are in the top div and the content loads in the main div. The only problem I thought may have been causing it was that I had an ID inside of and ID. I changed my links div to a class instead of an ID and that didn't...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
