Can I center the series of thumbnails horizontally in the pages _and_ keep
the "elastic arrangement" where the number of thumbnails adapts to the
width of the screen.

I try to use CSS when possible, though I am still learning and don't maximize its use.
In particular, I still use a table to provide for a centered image in a few slideshows (though table vertical align doesn't work in Mozilla):

I've used combinations of <center>, style align 'center', table cell align, valign and height='100%' to get what I want, but I wonder if CSS can do it by itself.

Hi
I'm having some real trouble with a header I have created within a
container. I have two problems; firstly the menu (a horizontal UL) will not
centre within the surrounding header, despite attempts to use the following
within the #header declaration:
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
The image above the list is easily centred using the 'text-align' property,

The subject says it all my friends. I have searched google to death
about centering problems and for some reason no one seems to have the
error I have. For the past few days I have been working on a website
for a non-profit club and I and they were happy with the design and
layout.
I did not discover a problem with what I had until I was testing all
browsers for compatibility. The following page...

Hi all,
I have a question which I have no ideal of the answer...I am currently
working on a web application and at some time, I have a string
representing a short text. This could be a simple example :
"This is my list :\n\r-list item 1\n\r-list item 2\n\r-list item
3\n\r\n\rThis was a great list."
Let's say this outputs like that :

Hi,
On both Firefox and IE, how can I replace the bullets before unordered
list items, with double arrows ">>" throughout my site?
Thanks, - Dave

I have a website at This Link which contains some unordered lists at the right. The news headlines list has the first item appearing normally, but all the other items are pushed over to the right. Other than the first item being one line instead of two, I don't see any difference in the other lines.
Why would only IE do this (even v.7) but not Firefox or Safari? Since it's in an Ajax div, I can't view the page source code.
I'm using code...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
