I want to create a page with a scrolling image that will cause different
messages to appear on another part of the page (say, another <div>) as the
image will scroll. Imagine something like this:
Image DIV Text DIV
(Visible Area)
+-----------+ Image +---------+
+-----------|------------------------+ | |

I remember doing something like this before, but it's been a while since
I've touched javascript...
I have a standard <img> and when a user clicks the image I want
to output the IMAGE x y coordinates of the mouse click (i.e. not
the page x y coords).
I know that appending 'ismap' to the image tag will give me the image
coordinates, but I can't use that since the img already has a
'usemap' attribute.

I've got an image and an image map, and they work fine together.
See it here: http://www.jim-land.com/testing/MapPage01.htm
But the image map has way too many points (vertices) in its 87 polygons.
The html file is over 100k. That's too big to fit into our content-
managment system, not to mention that it takes too long to load--about 30
seconds--over a 58k dialup connection.
The problem is that the polygons are far too accurate.......

continuation of my previous post, thanks to all those that contributed with
answers
I am creating a control that will take an image and make parts of it
transparent, this is done by creating and then applying a region to the
control. The control inherits from picturebox and works fine when loading
the image into the control, the problem that I am having now is, once the
control is loaded and the image is displayed, if the user resizes...

Hello
I'd like to insert an image in a RTF document using a programming
language (C#), this image must be aligned to the right and the text wrap
around the picture.
This is the code I found (from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnrtfspec/html/rtfspec_3.asp)
to insert an image in a RTF document, where in the "shape properties" I
tell how the picture is aligned (Text Wrap Around Shape and Wrap Both
sides...

I have an image dynamically created. An image button is then created
using this image. The problem is that it shows up perfectly on my
machine, but on others it doesn't.
The image is created by making the entire image transparent then
drawing an shape (eg a circle) using a graphics object. It It is then
saved with extension .png to hold on to the transparency.
An image button is then created and linked to this image.
The image button...

I'm trying to get a maze to default to always giving me the image as the marker and never give me the color as the marker. The code requires you to check a box to get the image marker to be used. So, I thought if I put played around with the checked box function, I'd get what I want, but I don't.
I tried changing this
document.getElementById('markerImage').disabled = true;
to this
document.getElementById('markerImage').disabled =...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
