CSS Menu position of text with padding and overflow

Hi experts!

I've made a CSS menu.

{The menu contains: no images; !important}

I would like to position my text close to the bottom in my list-items as in example 02 and 03.

At the moment example 02 is the closest to what i want, but i can't do it without the padding and "overflow:hidde n" commands.

I have this strange voice inside telling me "it's not pure enough". It validates fine and everything, but still... HIDDEN. Is that ok, or?

Is there a way to position (link) text indside a list-element without the use of padding,overflo w, hidden and all that jazz?

Stylesheet is here.

Not off the top of my head. If it's worth the effort, you could make the box a separate element on top of the text.

Hi all, I have a very strange problem! In following Web page (which is generated from a CMS System), the navigation to the left 'dissapears' when you roll the mouse over the links? It does not do this in all browsers either. I have found it to happen in IE 7 and the latest patched IE 6. I have tried to find out the reason, but keep finding strange behaviour! You will see at the bottom of the HTML, I have a comment. If you follow...

I've found a javascript menu download, I've been tweaking it within a testpage, and getting it to look just right. I finally got everything looking right, all I have to do is alter where the links navigate to. Before I do that I'm trying to get it put into the actual page I want to use it in; right now I've been using a blank html page to test it with. I've done everything just like it is in the test page, but the menu isn't appearing on the...

I am trying to incorporate a CSS drop-down menu into a site (suckerfish menu). The menu gets lost behind the content below it, but only on one of the drop downs (News). The error occurs on all of the browsers I have tested it on (IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera and Safari). It is probably something simple, but I can't find it! Here is the CSS (using external style sheets): style-temp.css (Main style sheet for the site): * { font-family:...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
