Hi,
I'm new here ( Hi all ), and my problem is:
Is possible to change layout of drop-down list made with <select> & <option>
tags. I don't like this ugly gray arrow, slider etc. in normal dropdown
element.
I tried the same way like for eq. <input> but in case of <select> it dosen't
work.

Hi.
I've been using display:none on the style property of some <option>
elements in my forms, which works fine with Mozilla - as expected it
removes the option from my dropdown (although it still exists in the
code). Is there an equivalent in IE?
The reasoning behind this is that I want users to rank objects using a
<select> for each place (see below), and to remove the choice of earlier
objects from <select> drop-downs later in the...

Does anyone know it is possible to include a small image(.gif .jpeg)
within a <SELECT><option> so that the user would see the option text as
well as a little image(icon) in the option? I know this is not an ASP.NET
related question, but I know this group is knowledgeable and quick with
responses.
Thanks

Hi everybody,
I nearly get despaired of the fact that the events I chose and,
according to the MSDN site, are correct, don't fire reliable in IE6.
Is someone able to tell me, which events I can use for the following
situation?
I have a <select> list with dynamically generated options. Latest when
I have changed the (pre-) selected option and loose the focus of the
select-list I want to run a function to find out about the newly

<select name="alltags" class="select" style="background:yellow">
<option value="1">1</option>
<option value="2">2</option>
<option value="3">3</option>

This is a nasty one and I can't see my way out of it.
I have a bunch of select statements in a form, and each select statement
has an onchange="do_something(this)" in it, and this works
nicely..except when there is only ONE OPTION in a given select.
It seems you cannot 'onchange' a single option!
Well, that is reasonable.
The trouble is I have no way of selecting it since the form itself is a

I've been ploughing through the archives here, but I can't seem to find a solution for my situation...
Essentially, I want to run the JQuery script that is in the "value" attribute of my <option> tags, when they are selected. I know to use onchange="" and probably 'this', but how do I get the string in the value tag to run as a function?
<select name="Add Criteria" onchange="">
<option...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
