Stupid 1 px gap between images

2 New Member
I've sliced up a nice little nav bar that kind of makes a C shape around my text on the page. There is a top right image, at top left, a left, a bottom left and a bottom right. They are all in their own cell in a table. Between the top left and top right image there is a 1px gap that only shows up in IE; firefox doesn't have a problem with it. I've got paddings and margins on 0px. I've tried left aligning the right image and right aligning the left image. I just can't get the two images to touch.

figured it out. I'm such a fool. Somehow I managed to create a single pixel of white on the edge of the picture. So stupid!

This is probably a very simple question (I hope), but my usually great web searching abilities have not turned up the answer I am looking for. I have a php page that includes a file for example index.php has an include for menu.htm. Inside menu.htm are some images in the same directory. All works great in that scenario. Here's where the trouble begins. If I want to include menu.htm inside a php file that is in another directory (say...

Hi, If i get myself a DOM tree using xml.dom.minidom (or full-fat xml.dom, i don't mind), is there an easy way to ask a element for its child elements of a particular type? By 'type' i mean 'having a certain tag'. This strikes me as a rather common thing to want to do, but i can't see a method for it; it seems i have to go through elem.childNodes myself, fishing out the ones i want. Or rather, to write exactly the same three-line...

I've been on 8 different websites to find out what i'm doing wrong, and so far it seems i'm doing it the right way. Here's my code...any suggestions would be appreciated. <script language="javascript"> <!-- window.open("256fx/index.htm", "", "height=400, width=600"); //-->

C# newbie here. I'm creating a page that will use a repeater control to display thumbnail images. I want to have a button next to each image so that the user can delete a particular image by clicking on the 'delete' button next to it. I'm having trouble determining how to pass the id of the image to my codebehind when the user clicks a particular delete button.

Hi, can anyone give me a hand. I'm currently displaying 4 random images at the top of a page. I did this using an array of 35 pictures and then writing them to page. The problem I have is that in theory you could get the same image 4 times. I quite often get 2 of the same picture come up. What's the easiest way of saying "once an image is assigned to a variable, take it out of the array"? Here's my code so far.. images = new Array(34);...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
